Who I Am Today Research Paper
Throughout my life I have had many experiences that have helped and propelled me to become the person I am today. In life I have gone through many life changing events that have all had an impact on who I am. Not all of my experiences were pleasant, but I am glad to have lived through what I did because they have helped me become a responsible, brave, humble young adult. An experience that shaped who I am would be the way my parents raised me since I was little. My mother and father always taught me right from wrong. Every time time I decided to disobey and cause trouble I was corrected. My mistakes always had a consequence in the household and it benefited me by helping improve on self-discipline. I have known many friends that have fallen into bad influences like doing drugs or becoming gang affiliated but I never went down the wrong path because I believe my parents raised me well. I did not know anyone when I moved from California and I did not fit in with anyone at first. As my first school year started here, I remember the other kids for my neighborhood bully me and my brothers simply because we were chubby, sensitive and had a different accent when speaking. Those days were a nightmare for me and my brothers because as time passed, we went from being verbally to physically bullied. However, me and my brothers always remained strong and we one day got into a physical confrontation with the bullies. That event changed everything for us, we quit being bullied because the other kids quickly realized that maybe we were not as weak as they initially thought.Today I am a very brave young man that has learned how to protect myself and those who are being bothered by others.
