Who Am I Without Him? By Sharon Flake
Who am I without him? In the story of, “Who am I without him?” by Sharon Flake, deals with character in my perspective. I chose to deal with character because there was a lot of character in this story. The main character, which remained nameless, was the narrator of the story. We got her point of view: That’s why I chose her. The story had a lot of conflict going in and out the story. Her and Raheem are supposed to be a couple that last forever and ever, but in the story it seems like Raheem doesn’t want that. He wants to flirt with other girls and do whatever he wants while his so called girlfriend is being loyal. In my perspective, Raheem seems like a jerk and a player type. Even though the main character has been crying, yelling, shouting, and abused, she constant wants to put up with Raheem little boy games. …show more content…
Every time he does something wrong, she lets its slide and never gets mad. At the end of the story, Raheem was kissing the redhead she didn’t like but she didn’t get mad at him. The character is not liked by many people except Raheem, that’s why he’s her world. Her whole life depends on him, at least that’s what she think. In the story, she knows better not to talk back, yell out loud, or disrespect him because obviously he would slap the taste out her mouth. She could do way better than him and find a man that treats her right and doesn’t take advantage of her. If not, she could say single for her

It turns out that their principal along with a scientist took them and tried to erase their memory of a school shooting. The experiment ended up lasting longer than expected and they had to keep the kids for 11 more years. People shouldn’t have trusted the principal and should’ve been paying more attention and been aware of the kids.…

In Flannery O'Connor's short story “A Good Man is Hard to Find”, the definition of good is shown mostly through the eyes of the grandmother. She sees anyone within the upper class as being good.
