What Would I Do If I Were President
When it comes to being the President of the United States, it is THE most important and stressful job you could have. The fate of the country is in your hands. Of course you have the help of others like your cabinet, the House of Representatives, and congress, but in reality as the president, you are blamed for any problems that the country faces. You are the face of what the country undergoes, and there are so many pressures placed in the shoulders of the president. If I were the President of the United States, there are a few problems that are most important to me that I would focus on fixing. I would focus on these particular problems facing the country today; (in no particular order) terrorism, healthcare, and education.
To begin, terrorism is one of the oldest ongoing problems that the country has had to face. I am not completely sure that we will ever be able to eliminate all terrorism to the United States but it is better to try our best than to let other countries run over us. As president, I would make sure that any threats placed on the United States will be returned to the intimidator. We have allowed ourselves to be pushed around and bullied for far too long and its time that we stand up and prove that we Americans are not cowards. We must fight back and show the rest of the world that you can’t bomb us, kill innocent and unarmed Americans without serious consequences. We have allowed the enemy to enter our home, and it has cost us many innocent lives. How much longer is this going to last? It won’t stop until we put our foot down and put a stop to it now. Terrorism must be faced head on, and that’s what I plan to do if I were president.
Another problem I hope to work on and fix is our healthcare system. I believe that forcing one healthcare system on all Americans is wrong and that it ultimately won’t get us anywhere. We should focus more on creating a strong system to

It was just over fifteen years ago, when the United States (US) experienced one of the most horrific terrorists’ attacks ever carried out. The events of September 11th, 2001, saw two planes fly into the twin towers of the World Trade Center, one plane fly into the Pentagon, and another plane headed for the White House which was thwarted by the heroic efforts of the passengers on board. The events of this day brought the US to its knees, with massive loss of life, property, wealth, and sense of security. The US was crippled with fear, and President George W. Bush had to do something to show the US and the rest of the world that we would not allow terrorism to get the best of us. President Bush announced that…

One of the major responsibilities the President is known to have would be that of protecting the people. The Department of Homeland Security was established in response to the biggest terrorist attack on U.S. soil on September 11, 2001. This attack sparked the nation and caused fear among citizens as well as opening eyes of the government to how much stronger the security level had to be in the country. U.S. officials began to reconstruct the Office of Homeland Security once they recognized their shortcomings.…

It is a president’s role to be the chief of state, chief executive, chief administrator, chief diplomat, commander in chief, chief legislator, party chief, and chief citizen. If there were one event in history that I was fortunate enough to be able to change, it would be the events that occurred on September 11, 2001. Not only did many innocent people die on that day due to terrorism, but also people are still dying to this day. The affects of that event on are nation are still felt ten years after the actual attacks occurred. Many families have lost and are still losing loved ones who are sacrificing themselves for the greater good of fighting terrorism across the globe. September 11th was single handedly the largest foreign attack on U.S. soil. The series of catastrophic events that occurred on that dreadful day sparked a, later to be called the “War on Terror”. The only thing that could be received as a positive out of this situation would be that it unites citizens across the nation as one and our since of nationalism sky- rocketed to the highest it has ever been. On that note it is still known as the worst day in American history, and that’s why it would be better off if it never were to happen. Terrorism and terrorist attacks could have been avoided by trying to create democracy in places where terrorism takes priority over the government. The U.S. has been attempting to intervene with the government in terrorist nations for the past ten years, but I feel like if they started the fight before these attacks ever happened it could have prevented much of the devastation that occurred on September 11th and the years following. Another solution that is much easier and cost effective would have been to increase our security in airports and airlines. With a heightened sense of national security the attacks would have never mad it through security thus never allowing 9/11 to ever happen. With just a slight increase in awareness in places of mass transportation, millions of Americans and their families could have avoided losing family members and loved ones. Unfortunately the aftermath of September 11th is still affecting…

Terrorism has taken part of all of our lives. At least once a week, some type of terrorism has happened or tried. President Obama discussed how he took cautious views on fighting terrorism and Isis. Mr. Obama is reluctant to having more Americans die fighting at war with terrorism. Although, it's also understandable to just want to end the war completely. This is the Republicans argument. Republicans would just like to send troops to fight the war in the Middle-East ending once and for all. In order to the long awaited war, it takes more resources, like machinery, weapons, money, and troops. Republicans also feel the situation we're in now, it's vital to demolish any chance of Iran having nuclear weapons for protection of America and the rest…

Secondly, I would concentrate on the education system of the First Nations people. Equal education privileges for First Native people have been one of the biggest, most dates issues. Presently, First Nation people do have several benefits such as free undergraduate studies in Canada, etc. I still believe education is something that needs to be enhanced. As the National President of the Assembly of First Nations I would make sure there was a funding for lifetime learning of our First Nations peoples. I would make sure the languages of First Nations peoples would be recognized, and I would finally improve the issues of the regional issues. Education is a necessity in our society and I believe First Nations should have the opportunity to learn and be educated just like any…
