What The American Flag Means To Me

What the American flag means to me. The American flag is something that I've looked at since I was 5 years old in preschool. Every day in school since then I have said the promise of loyalty with my peers to the flag with my hand on my heart. When I see a flag blowing in the wind, or when I see a crowd of people standing with their hands to their hearts while the National Anthem plays, it gives me chills. When I recite "The Pledge of Allegiance," it is more than just words to me. It is a reminder of honor to be a citizen of "the land of the free and the home of the brave."
