What Makes Rosa Parks A Good Leader

Rosa Parks was born February 4th, 1913, in Tuskegee, Alabama. Rosa was homeschooled until the age of 11 by her mother and then she attended the Industrial School for Girls. In 1932 she married her husband Raymond parks and she worked various jobs in Montgomery. On December 1, 1955, Parks refused to give up her bus seat to a white man in the colored section. She was arrested and that's when she became known as the “Mother of the Civil Rights Movement”. Rosa Parks is an above average leader because of what she did. One of the traits that makes her a good leader is her intelligence. During high school she dropped out to help out her ill mother and grandmother, but after she got married she went back to school and received her high school diploma at the age of 21. She worked as a janitor in exchange for tuition. Her and her husband were members of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and she was eventually appointed secretary. She worked alongside very great people and that is another one of her strong traits.
Her mother had another important role in her life since she homeschooled her till the age of 11. Her husband was always there for her, especially after her arrest when they had to move around to get away from the hate. They did great things together in the groups they were involved in like the NAACP. She also worked alongside Martin Luther King Jr. after her arrest in the Bus Boycott that eventually lead to the Supreme Court ruling bus segregation was unconstitutional.
