What It Means To Be Thankful Essay

The Lord is a very generous and loving God. We, as followers and believers of Christ, should be thankful for everything He does. Many people in the world are not thankful for all the things the Lord does for them. They tend to complain about their life and worry about what they do not have rather than think about all the things they are privileged to have. People worry too much about who has the best phone, or car, or house, etc. and they do not focus on what is really important, which is their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. It is very easy to think of all the things we do not have and be unthankful. We can be jealous and covetous. But the hard thing to do is to remember to thank God for everything He has provided for us and for the wonderful life that He has given us.

Being unthankful is easier than being thankful because to be thankful you have to leave your selfish ways and reminding yourself to be thankful. It requires some effort, but receiving thanks is a good feeling so we should remember to thank others as well, and most importantly remember to give thanks to God.
