Life is a cruel mistress. This can not be better displayed than by The Scream by Edvard Munch and The Crucible by Arthur Miller. Both pieces of art represent the idea of Depression, Death, and Anger. This is symbolised by the bloody, orange sunrise; The Dark pastel colors also symbolize depression, with a touch anger contributed by the red, orange mix. The Scream gives off a very eerie tone of death and depression. The Crucible has many lesson throughout the book with these same ideas.
