What Is The Cause And Effect Of The Story Papa's Parrot
In "Papa's Parrot" by Cynthia Rylant, Harry's character develops from the beginning to the end of the story.
A cause in this story that developed Harry's character was going in to middle school. "When Harry entered junior high school, though, he didn't come by the candy and nut shop as often. Nor did his friends."(Rylant para. 2) This has an effect on Harry because it causes Mr. Tillian to buy the parrot, which leads Harry to realize his relationship with his father in the candy shop when his father is ill. Another cause and effect situation that contributed to Harry's character was when his father started talking to his parrot effecting the relationship with his father."The more Mr. Tillian grew to like his parrot, and the more he talked
