When I think about the definition of the word "Confidentiality" there are many thoughts and definitions that comes to mind. The first definition that comes to mind to define the term "confidentiality" is that its the protection of personal information. Confidentiality is the fundamental principle in medical ethics (Latour & Albarran, 2012). Confidentiality can be defined as any information a patient exchanges with their health care provider to be consider private and has limits on how and when it can be disclosed to another individual (Latour & Albarran, 2012).
