What Is Allelic Diversity?
MHC genes are associated with natural and sexual selection as MHC genes initiate immune responses and signaling against parasites and pathogens. The allelic diversity is a consequence of parasite-mediated balancing selection. Fish that seek MHC haplotypes are mostly favored by natural selection and have higher reproductive success. Results support the idea; females select partners that have intermediate MHC diversity and haplotypes since such males are bigger, fight pathogens better, provide the offspring with prenatal care, and retain good genes (immunized) for selection. Also, females display higher parasite load than males and female choosiness is affected by male density which results in extending genes and maintaining MHC polymorphism

I believe people label and group other people because of enculturation. When people are growing up they are taught their religious beliefs, who they should hang out with, and who they should not hang out with. If a person is taught from a young age that other people are not equal to themselves they will label them as such. If a child is brought up thinking that people with tattoos and piercings are bad, they will more than likely continue to label and group these people as they get…

By its strict definition, diversity means that differences exist within a population. A community may have members who walk without assistance while others use wheelchairs. Some members may be wealthy while other community members may not be able to afford new clothes. Diversity entails differences in cultures, values, race, class, gender, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, physical abilities, religion, ways of life, and other areas.…
