What Does Football Mean To Me
Football is something that defines me in many ways. Football taught me many things but one of the biggest was becoming a young man. The sport itself didn't teach to be a man but the coach that felt like father figures in the four year in highschool that gave me life lectures. My coaches taught me simple things like how to shake hands like a man to learning to deal with situation that are hard to deal with alone. My coaches have helped me become the young man I am with manner, attention to details, and sense of urgency. Without football and the discipline I've been through, I would have been a MORE of a person who quits when it gets hard. Football is what taught to keep trying even when it's hard and to try my best because at some point you

With reading the article “ Would I let my son play Football”,I came to a consensus that I would let my kid play football. “ How can I bash a game that produced so many friendships, paid for my education, and helped me become comfortable financially” .( Fujita 3). I agree with this article’s statement because football has helped people pay for college and help build their respective careers. Football has also made many people financially stable after playing in college and moving on to the NFL. “Football isn’t for everyone Scott ...but it was definitely for me”. (5). With Football not being for everyone, it is still made for some people, and if my son/ daughter wanted to play football then it would be made for them. The people that are made…

I play quarter back for Pensacola Catholic High. To me football is one of the biggest adrenaline rushes you can get. The game is fast and I like that. When I play football I feel unstoppable and I love it. When you play quarterback the game is in your hands and it is up to you to lead your team to victory. You have to make sure your team is focused and prepared. You have to be a good leader to play quarterback. If your team starts loosing you can’t just act sad and give up. You have to do the right thing and give your team a pep talk and tell them to step up their game like a good leader would do.…

Of course I ended up playing those sports, but I wasn't happy because I wanted to play football and nothing else. The years went by and I still did not play a snap of football and it was already the fifth grade where most kids have already played for years. Finally on my last plea my parents let me play football in the sixth grade. I played football in a youth league called PAFA (Palatine Amatuer Football Association), This is where I was taught proper technique and how to play the game safe. Finally, I was done with youth football, next up the big stage, high school football. My Freshman year went by in a blink of an eye, then came sophomore year my time to shine, and one of my favorite times in life.…

I am very good at football. It is one of my favorite sports. When I was younger, I decided to try football. So then ever since, I kept playing football every year. Also every year I got better and better. I got lots of tackles in football. This one time a player was running to the touchdown line and I ran as fast as I can to get to the player. Finally I caught up to him and I tackled the player before he could reach to get a touchdown. That’s what helped me stay in football.…

There are over seven billion people on this Earth, so what is it that makes me so different? I wear Nike, I drive a car, I play video games, I have chores, and could be considered a pretty normal person. I love, I laugh, I get angry, and I have emotions just like every other human being. The one thing I heavily identify with is football. For as long as I can remember I’ve played ball, and made some great friends along the way. The picture in the top left is a great representation of this. Football has taught me lessons of leadership, perseverance, toughness, how to deal with the highest of highs, and the lowest of lows. (Bottom left: aftermath of beating Staley) Above all else, the best thing it has taught me was loyalty. Not only loyalty to a cause, but loyalty to my brothers, and ultimately my family. Football has created a foundation for my character, and without it I am certain I would not be the same person I am today.…

Football is my favorite sport, and the sport that I take the most pride in. I like the feeling of the team that stands beside me when I am on the field, and the comradery between me and my teammates while we are out there. I have created many friendships from football that I plan to hold on to. I also have learned life lessons to always get back up even if you have been put down. My junior year I had broke my hand the first game of the year on the very first play. I continued to play through that game and also refused to get anything done to my hand until it was unbearable.…

My creative outlet is playing soccer. This sport allows me to express my creativity. As I am running I have to be capable of keeping balance, speed and endurance. I pay attention to my foot coordination to develop better skills. Soccer is like dance because I have to move with the ball and in dance, you have to move with the rhythm. I am able to play tricks and I have to think fast on the plays. Also by tricking the other players that I am going to the right side but going left side instead. I can also play soccer by going to a zigzag or an L shape design to cause confusion to the opposing team because they would be confused on what I am doing then suddenly I pass to a teammate who is in position in front of the net. I can stunt with the ball and do fancy moves. Soccer allows me to be free and I can show my talent as I am…

The sport of wrestling helped mold me into the man I am today. Wrestling can be more than just a sport, as it was to me. Wrestling teaches young boys, and girls discipline, self respect, and hard work. Wrestling definitely gave me an entirely new understanding as to what hard work and dedication meant. I never could have possibly imagined that a sport could impact my life as much as wrestling did. I am extremely grateful for everything my coaches taught me.
