My Philosophy

I’m here to create an environment in which you might learn.

Sometimes this means lecture, sometimes activities.
I will only ask you to participate in things that I believe will help you learn.

You are ultimately responsible for your own learning. 

Actively read the text. Participate in class. Actively integrate material from the two sources.

The purpose of this reflective paper is to show my understanding along with what I have learned about HRM (human resources management) and the different way HRM impacts the success behind every business, along with the rules and regulations that go with it. Over the last five weeks I have learned quite a bit about HRM and will reflect on that throughout this paper. “Human resource management is the managing of human skills and talents to make sure they are used effectively and in alignment with an organizations goals.” (Youssef, 2012). I will be including the things I learned throughout the last five weeks in this course, and also let those know what I plan on taking with me in my future career as a manager.…

The occupation I choose was a Chief Executive (CEO) and it was fairly simple to find. O*Net has a simple search engine where simply typing what you are looking for populates several results. The information provided is easily read and colorfully laid out for simple understanding. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities are all generalized requirements in any job position description but I like that Personality block. This block allows a prospected employee to know that if they don’t like being in a leadership position that this may not be the job for them. I also like the Technology block, it tells you what software you may be using in a job like this one.…

Ideas presented that seemed to be the best in two different fields of human resource management was offering a good 401 k plan and job performance appraisals. By offering good benefits that makes the job worth performing and then returning to the employee on encouraged performance or missed opportunities that may benefit them to improve on or encourage to continue performing in a certain area. Job appraisals can be tricky, the employer wants corrective actions to be taken on things that need to be improved but does not want the employee to be discouraged on continuing the beneficial things that they are doing for the company. That is way an intriguing benefit package such as a 401 k plan should continue the motivation for the employee. In addition on improving the motivation that the employee has, when the company improves employee benefits it also improves labor relations for the company. The 401 k plan plus employee appraisals should go hand-in-hand in order to determine how much benefits or company contributions will be made over a period of time a employee deserves. When an employee works hard for their benefits, they might be recognized formally for their hard work or just simply recognized in front of their colleagues in order to improve their job performance to increase their appraisal ratings. However, all sections of the human resource management team needs to work together in order to create a successful team, create an effective competitor in the market, and efficiently utilize resources in an effective manner in order to comply with the company's ultimate…
