This Civil War has created plenty of attention to an abundant of countries and has some wanting to level out this problem of conflict for good. In early January 2011 the conflict began as a civil uprising in response to the Assad Government and its corruption and human rights abuse. Nearing the end of April, Bashar al-Assad started to launch full-scale military operations against uncooperative cities and residential areas. All of this continued to escalate to a whole other ordeal of problems within the country. Civil Wars have been part of this world for thousands of years with plenty of central political problems. Civil Wars have been arising around the world and they’ve all had different political views on certain matters that could not come to an agreement. The Civil War of 1861 between the North and the South arose due to slavery. The North wanted to abolish slavery while the South fought to keep it ongoing. More and more conflict began to come up and the controversy got worse and separated the states of North and South Carolina to what it is now. Some people will always seem to not be able to smell the same freshness of grass that was just mowed as others.
Palestine and Israel to this day are still in conflict with each other since the 1920’s. None of them can decide a peace pact that can settle their differences and all problems for once. The Jewish community has been for a while been in disagreement the Muslim community about living in peace together as a whole. There has always been such people that say things and make certain decisions that make others believe that something is or is not true. Thus, this creates havoc with another group and wars arise because of such people. It seems to be that without war there can be never be a stabile world that

The article, “Coalition Vows To Supply Syrian Opposition,” by The Associated Press [1] speaks of the developments that are happening in Syria concerning the Syrian Uprising (2011-ongoing), which is part of Arab Spring. Arab Spring was when a wave of independence movements against totalitarian governments in the Middle East began to break out across the Arabic states. Egypt is one of the few that has been liberated from its totalitarian rule from Honsi Mubarek, who was forced to step down by the Egyptian people, and their efforts towards supporting and/or taking part in demonstrations, protests, or attacks on/against the state's totalitarian rulers. The current dictator of Syria is President Bashar al-Assad.…

I can’t come to school or go to work without listening the international news. Every morning, rather than getting something to eat for breakfast I turn on the TV and flip through the channels between CNN, BBC or Aljazeera to watch the news about Syrian civil war. The Syrian civil war is an ongoing conflict that’s happening in current time. The problem started in early spring of 2011 within the context of “Arab spring” protest and nationwide demonstrations against the policy of the Syrian government. Although the United States of America has a policy of intervention and involvement in country like Syria, they should not do it because it could increase the civil war even more, it could make even more people immigrate and it will save the lives…

In every story, there are villains and heroes. Sometimes, there are lucky villains who have more power or capabilities than heroes; this is why some heroes are suppressed which causes villains to move freely. This is similar to Syria’s uprising story. Assad and his forces are the villains and have power, while Syrians who resist Assad are the heroes and are suppressed. The story started a year ago when a groop of teenagers wrote the statement, “THE PEOPLE WANT THE REGIME TO FALL” on a wall. This statement threatened Syria’s dictator, Bashar al-Assad. When the teenagers were jailed and punished, a lot of people protested against the brutality…

For 6 years Syria has been at war with itself. In these 5-6 years many people have died. And many towns and cities left and ruined. The beginning of the fifth year of the war half a quarter million people have been killed. And over 10 million have been forced to leave their homes. And it all began with the actions of peaceful protestors. Which has cost the lives of 100,000 people and forced over two million to flee to the relative safety of neighboring countries. This conflict has captured the world’s attention because of the tactics employed by the president of Syria, Bashar al-Assad. Unarmed civilians were attacked and killed by government troops as they searched for the most effective and seemingly brutal method for quelling this uprising. Now there are some US politicians, who feel that it is the duty of our country to get involved militarily, but this with two wars already fought the past ten years, there seems to be little to no public support for this type of move. The United States is not the world’s policeman and should let countries solve their own problems.…

President Bashar al-Assad’s regime and his rebel forces have begun attacking civilian neighborhoods with air strikes and constant artillery shells on a daily basis. A clear violation of human rights has occurred when the President of a country is attacking their own citizens. The country is expected to be able to protect its citizens, but who can protect them when their only protection source has an indiscriminate use of weapons against its own people. The most logical and understandable solution to this problem is forcing President Bashar al-Assad to step down.…

Syria’s turmoil had all began with protests against their President, Bashar al- Assad’s regime in March 2011 in the Southern city of Deraa. However at the beginning the protestors were peaceful and all they’d wanted was democracy and greater freedom. But when security forces opened fire on peaceful demonstrations it triggered days of violent unrest that had steadily spread nationwide over those following months. The Syrian people demanded that President Bashar al – Assad resign. Whenever al – Assad refused to step down the violence became much greater. The President had then offered to change some ways in which the country is currently run, but the protestors didn’t believe he was speaking the truth.…

Prior to beginning this assignment, I must admit that Syria was not one of my priorities, nor had I given thought to which direction our government should take in its dealings with them. However, after much “educating of myself” on the conflict, I definitely have personal views on the course of action as well as the problems behind the situation. It is most certainly my opinion that the U.S. should simply stay completely and fully out of any course of action within or about the Syrian conflict. It is also my opinion that these internal struggles are being aided by outside influences that date back hundreds, if not thousands of years.…

    A. Dating back to the time of the Ottoman Empire, the situation in Syria has become increasingly violent over time. [1] Back in 1911, an organization called Al-Fatat (Young Arab Society) was founded. [1] According to research, it was basically a secret Arab nationalist organization that aimed to gain independence and unity for multiple Arab nations that was, at the time, under Ottoman rule; their movement was a successful on that took them to their independence from the Ottoman rule. [1] However, it wasn’t until February 5, 1919 that the first official political party, the Instiqlal Party, was formed since the independence. The political party is what changed the history of Syria. [1] In 1970, a man named Hafez al-Assad became President of Syria. He was the president who amended the Syrian constitution in order to reduce the age of the President from 40 to 30. This allowed his son Bashar al-Assad to become a ruling president in 2000, unopposed. [1] Since his presidency, Syria has become very violent because of the numerous rebel groups that are against this ruler who claims that he will be Syria’s only ruler; a ruler for life. Recent news articles state that Syria has been experiencing much worse battles compared to those in Libya because of the political unrest. [1]…

The Syrian Arab Republic is currently in a state of civil war with its multi-religious and multi-ethnic society. For a year and a half since the “Arab Spring”, the rebel movement has protested the restrictions on their rights and the lack of government transparency, while the oppressive Syrian government, led by Bashar al-Assad, is fraught with corruption and attempts to stifle the rebels. Syria receives support from surrounding countries in the Middle East and Asia in the form of weapons and propaganda. A major problem is that the Syrian conflict has forced millions of Syrians to flee to country, the majority being women and children. Key army units remain loyal to the regime as the prolonged civil war ensues, with disastrous consequences expected to hit Syria’s warring. According the United Nations’ proceedings in July, the conflict has claimed an estimated 17,000 of civilians’ lives, displaced more than 1.2 million Syrians, and has caused more than 1 million people to flee to neighboring Middle Eastern nations such as Iraq, Jordan, and Turkey to seek refuge.…
