Walt Disney Psychographic Analysis
This chapter provided detailed information on customer service, guestology, demographics, psychographics and common purpose. Walt Disney understood that customers were the final judges of his success and always strived to find out how they thought. He would wander around the park and try to analyze the guests and collect their responses. This shows that he was beyond committed to his company. Walt Disney went above and beyond to interact with, and study his guests, to best provide for them. In the last chapter, we learned a bit about guestology, but this chapter broke it down a little bit more. Guestology is market and customer research that Disney uses to learn about, and best provide for, their guests. This can be applied to our lives by choosing to go above and beyond to make guests and partners feel comfortable and …show more content…
Demographics studies where people are from, how hard they worked to get there, and how much money they spent. This should not just be used to find out who your customers are, but also who they are not. If you studied demographics you could realize that you are missing out on an entire group of people, and then figure out how to market to them, Psychographic information is what customers need, want, their emotions and what preconceived ideas they already have about Disney. This section talks about asking open-ended questions and letting customers speak their minds. I believe this is an awesome way to receive all different sorts of information. Being able to identify the needs, wants, stereotypes, and emotions of guests is extremely helpful in providing an excellent experience for an individual. Common purpose is important because if someone does not know what the common purpose is, they do not have anything to strive for.
