Waaunakee Football Essay In English
Waunakee Football

It was a Saturday morning, but it was no regular Saturday morning. It was football Saturday morning my dad was driving me to my football game. We got there and it was freezing. It was 46 degrees Fahrenheit and we started to do warm-ups and 20 minutes later the refs called us over. We put our helmets on the 50 and walked out to the middle of the field and we elect to differ. They get the ball and we kick off they drop the ball and they recover it. They are down right there they ran a reverse and score a TD. We get the ball and they motion me to the left side and ran a 27 pitch we score a TD “wooohooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Then we smash them on defense. then we get the ball back Tate runs a 17 run and scores a TD “yaaaaaaaaay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

The mission of the Eagle Football Program is not only to develop athletic excellence, but to provide a positive and motivating environment that encourages excellence in the lives of our athletes and staff. Honor your fellow teammate in all you do. Be totally sold out to helping the players reach their full potential. As a person, student, and player. Be a great example of what we are trying to teach our players. Don’t do anything that would destroy what we are trying to build. Don’t make excuses and always work to get better. I believe if we work together we will be a great team. We put our team first. We respect one another. We be safe on and off the field. We should also be responsible for our action. My philosophy is never give…

It was the middle of the summer and I was playing baseball in Jackson, Mississippi. I was playing for the Goodlettsville All-Stars. We were playing in the little league 10u world series. To get to the championship we had to win 8 games and it was single elimination. We had won 7 out of 8 games and we were playing our 8th game and it was the bottom of the third and I was playing left field. In the second inning I was felling drowsy so my dad gave me a Snickers and a Red Bull. I was for sure not drowsy anymore. I could feel the sugar rushing through my veins and I was on the balls of my feet waiting for the pitch to be thrown. When my pitcher threw the ball I had my hand in my glove ready for the ball if it was hit to me. WHAM! The ball was hit so far up in the air it looked like it hit the sun. When I realized that the ball was coming to me I was way too far back so I had to run as fast as I could and dive for the ball. I jumped as far as I could and stretched as far as I could. I barely caught it by snow coning the ball. Everybody was so proud of me that the screamed as loud as they could. We went on to win the game 4-1. The next day I woke up, jumped out of the bed, and put my uniform on. I was so excited, I was in the championship! I…

When I stood at the bottom I did not think I could make it. half way up, I knew that I could not make it. Now, standing at the top, I look behind me at the amazing challenge that I have just conquered. Not only is the hill at Eau Claire an infamous feat that every student must traverse, but it is also a metaphor for every hardship that has entered into my life. One hardship I have faced, was my sports injuries during high school. My junior year track season started off being the best experience i’ve had. Unfortunately, this time was cut short. I ripped a ligament in my leg ending my entire spring season. I was angry at the world asking, “why me”. However, I knew I still had a team depending on me. Day in, and day out, I would show up to practice…

It was a Saturday and we were playing Van Wert in a regular season basketball game and it was close. It was a Junior varsity game. We were only playing two quarters due to the lack of numbers. The game didn’t count for much but we were giving it our all. Van Wert wasn’t a favorite of ours and we were doing just about anything just to win. The game was intense. The coaches were yelling. The crowd was cheering. The gym exploded with sound coming from all directions. We were equally matched. We trailed for most of the game but we were always very close. As the game was winding down, we were trailing by just a few points. We had the ball. The ball was stolen and we were all sprinting down the court to stop it. I got a hand on the ball from behind…

The National Football League team in Washington has been a tire fire of a football team on the field for a long time. The team hasn’t won a playoff game in 10 years, and this origination traded up for Robert Griffin III and essentially ruined his career when they rushed him back from a knee injury and he hasn’t been the same since. One would think that with all of this being sad the team wouldn’t have a lot said about them, I mean, what’s the point the team is mediocre and they fall apart every year. This football team is one of the most talked about team for one big reason, their team name. The Washington Redskins. The debate has gone on for years, should the team get rid of the name, is it offensive to Native Americans, or does it now matter.…

I was about to enter the stadium, as I walked through the gate, I was preparing for the heckling and and all the “kind” comments that would come my way. I knew what to prepare because this wasn’t my first rodeo. This past year was my 4th Broncos-Chiefs game at Arrowhead, each game more exciting than the last. I also knew what to expect from Chiefs fan that sit around me. Like most people, the Chiefs fans are competitive and just let their competitive side take over when the game starts. I don't necessarily mind the harassment that I get from the opposing fans because I know that in the end, it’s all fun and games.…

I was trying to help my team the best way I could. “Down.. Set.. Hut!” I open to the right and the quarterback pitches me the ball with blockers in front of me they got me down to the twenty-yard line before I was tackled out of bounds by more than one defender. After the run I hear the crowd cheering with excitement and the team was starting to awake on the…
