Jolynn Albritton Autobiography 10/ 19 /07 1A

My birth:
I was born in Titusville, FL. On March 23 1992 at Parrish Medical Center. My mom was 38 and my dad was 33. I was born on my great uncles birthday, plus I was the only granddaughter in the family. So I was somewhat special. My grandparents from both sides were there, my great uncle, aunts, uncles, cousins and a bunch of friends of the family. I weighed 7lbs. 8 oz. I was 22 & ¾ in. long. My mom had to have an emergency “C” section because I was very sick. I was born with a heart rate of 7 beats a min. I was put in an incubator for 2 days. My mom was not allowed to come see me because I was so sick. But my mom said that said asked the nurse if she could go look at me and make sure I was alright, and the nurse told her no. So she grabbed the nurses arm and dug her nails into her and said either you get me a wheelchair or she’d walk there herself. I came home 4 days after I was born and I was fortunate to be alive.

First five years of my life:
I took my first step when I was 18 months old and mom says I use to fall every two steps. My first words were Wal-Mart. Kind of crazy but we lived on Garden St. and there use to be a Wal-Mart where the Publix is now, so my mom useto walk there so she could supposedly loose weight but I think she just liked going and looking at the things in the store. But we went almost every day after a couple of months after I was born. We both loved Wal-Mart and could spend all of our time in that store. When I was about to turn Two we moved to our newly built house in Christmas, Fl. My mom and dad were going

As the story is told, the first thing my dad said to my mom was, “She has red hair!”. And so the story begins, the story of me. I was born on a cold day, three days before my mom's birthday. When I was born, I was taken to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), because my mom had a fever when I was born and I was unable to regulate my body temperature. After three days, my family was able to bring me home.…

On March 9, 2010 I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. She weighed six pounds, eleven ounces and was 21 inches long. Her beauty took my breath away. Once the doctor spanked her bottom and I heard her cry it was like music to my ears. As they placed her in my arms all of the pain I felt from my 14 hour delivery vanished. I felt as if I had just won an Olympic race and I came in 1st place. My trophy was this beautiful bundle of joy. My husband and I decided to name her Adrianna Renee. The emotional bond or attachment that I felt for my daughter had me speechless. Then the nurse told me they had to take her briefly to do some type of test on her called Apgar score. She explained to me that the test was a standard scoring system that allows the doctor to evaluate Adrianna’s condition quickly and objectively. At first I was skeptical because my daughter looked perfect in my eyes. So the nurse takes her from me to go have the test done and while they are gone the other nurses tend to my needs. It seemed like forever but it only took 10 minutes and they were done with the Apgar score. Adrianna had done great scoring a 10 the highest an infant can get meaning she was perfect like I knew she would be.…

I was born at 11:55 am on a Saturday in the Kern Medical Center on February 7, 2003. My mom and grandma were arguing about what my name was gonna be. My grandma said Mercedes (gosh what a horrible name), but my mom said, Breanna. They agreed but my grandma said Mercedes had to be in there somewhere, but my mom thought that was an ugly name ( which I agree with). I don’t know the rest after that but then that’s how I became Breanna Sadie Reyes. 6 months later I said my first word and it was Poppa. My mom wasn’t sure if I was trying to say Grandpa or Papas (potatoes), I guess will never know. Thursday, February 7, 2004, was my first birthday and I was obsessed with Winnie the Pooh, so obsessed that I took a picture of Winnie the Pooh holding a 1 in his hand and I was so happy.…

It was Tuesday, March first, 2011, my mother woke me up so I can start getting ready for school. I rose with eager anticipation, just four more days until my thirteenth birthday and I just couldn’t wait. I brushed my teeth and hurried down to eat the complimentary breakfast offered to us by the hotel we were staying at. You see we had been staying at a hotel for the past five months because the home we had been renting was foreclosed on so the utility companies turned off the power and the electricity. We had to get down at just the right time so that there was a small crowd but a lot of food so that we can take food back to the room to save for dinner. After breakfast, we…

Welp, there I was. Mom always said my head looked like a bowl of ramen noodles, but I never believed her. I was born in Mercy Hospital in Mason City, Iowa August 10th 2000 at 2:43am after 22 hours of labor. Mama had to get an emergency C-section. My mother and grandfather choose the name Jayden. My mom wanted the name “Noah”, but my papa said no way. The name Jayden means “god has heard” in Hebrew. Papa really liked it. For the first 3 weeks of my life I lived with my grandparents. I then moved into an apartment for about 2 months, but mom said the apartment smelled like cat pee so we got outta there pretty quick. It was then I moved into my childhood home. A little green house on a quiet road in the North End. The house I would spend 8 years of my life in. I remember it has an fashioned clothes hanger out back that I used to pretend was a zipline, and slide around till my arms were sore. My first birthday approached, and through it all, it was just my mom and I. You may be asking yourself, where is his dad? Not there. See originally my dad wanted…

On September 8th 1990, it was a hot sunny day in the city of Cali, Colombia. Temperature around 88°F with very low humidity, normal for that time of year, since the summer was about to begin. A sky full of altocumulus clouds cooled the estimated population of about 1.7 million people ("1990 population estimate for Cali, Colombia."). Among that population there was my mother. Already late for her gynecology appointment, inconveniently causes by a car accident, she would shortly find out when I would be entering the world. The accident turned a 20-minute drive in a 45-minute drive. Rushing into the clinic, as the doctor’s assistant was calling her name, she rapidly was taken to the back to speak with the provider. When the doctor came into the room he calmly said, “I have good news, and bad news”. My mom’s heart already racing she decided to go with the bad news first. “The probability of being a complicated birth is pretty high, which means the surgical team will have to perform a cesarean section instead of a vaginal birth”. My mother relived thinking it would be something much worse she asked the doctor to go ahead with the good news. “The baby will probably be arriving today”. My mom became frantic, “that’s the good news? They might as well both have been bad! My mother panicked, she had nothing ready for the birth, since her first child was not due for another 10 days. Her hormone levels raging at an all time sky high, she shortly began to cry. The doctor and his staff hugged her and reassured her that everything was going to be ok. They quickly rushed her to the hospital where they would have all the equipment in the event that there were any major complications. Once she was all settled in, the operating room staff started to prepare for the birth around 3:15 P.M. The staff thought I was ready to come out, however I took another three hours to make my grand appearance. At 6:23 PM I arrived spreading my arms and legs with a…

July 14th, 1931. I lie in my deathbed at 10:49 pm, thinking. It seems like just yesterday I was only five, with my whole life ahead of me. I remember my mother told me stories while I sat on her lap. She would make hot chocolate and I would listen to her talk. My favorite story always started the same way. On September 2nd, 1903, the day I was born. My mom went into labor a month earlier than expected, so it was a good thing that they already bought baby supplies. The only problem was my parents thought I was going to be a girl. My mother would laugh every time she spoke of this, but she always assured me afterwards that they both love me all the same, no matter who I turned out to be. They named me Lawrence Exeter, after my father. This was the last and only memory I have of my mom before she left us.…

Due to my medical history, any child that my parents had after me had a much higher risk of having the same birth defect. My parents began taking all preventive measures possible so that this child would not experience the same difficulties I had. In July of that year, my little sister was born in Walnut Creek, California. I was immediately infatuated and loved spending as much time I could with her. Thankfully, she was not born with Spina Bifida to the great joy of my…

I was born on October 24th during the year of 1988, to my mother Lauren DiBenedetti and my father Raymond Valente in the wonderful state of Massachusetts. My parents ended up being better as friends rather than spouses. They were only married for a few years and got divorced when I was around two years old. Soon after, possibly too soon, Mom remarried a gentleman by the name of Gary Maltz. He ended up having a tremendous impact on me. Dad also got remarried, but unfortunately set a world record for shortest marriage ever; it lasted a whopping two weeks. I lived with my mother and stepfather in a little town in Massachusetts called Bolton. I stayed with them Monday through Friday so I could get an education in a smaller school system. During the weekends I would stay with my father in Natick and play hockey for a variety of different teams depending on my age.…
