Amazon is an online retailer however there have been talks and news articles of the company planning to open a warehouse store in New York City. However being an online only retailer means the company can meet any customer target and offer shopping to anyone. This removes travel time, travel costs and parking costs which appeal to more customers. This can also appeal to younger shoppers aged 16+ who are unable to drive and must pay out a large charge in travel fare. There is also a larger reach in the consumer area and they now have the ability to reach a worldwide target. Also being an online only business they can give specific and limited discounting to their products.…

After reviewing the article by Sherman, Rethinking Integrity Leader to Leader. I think that Sandwich Blitz needs to do the right think. Doing the right thing you have to even live up to that when no one is watching also. In today's society doing the right thing is really hard because everyone thinks that if they do what everyone else does they will get ahead quicker in life. How can you really enjoy being a successful business by following others? I think that it is there responsibility to call the office that send the inspectors out and let them know what there inspectors are out in the field doing to these business. There is no telling on how many tickets they over looked for there own greed. The inspectors are suppose to be enforcing local law and making business comply by the law. I think by not doing the right thing it will set the company back as far as growing their name and finding future investors if they need to happen one day. For example, What if Ray Kroc the guy who founded Mcdonalds was doing this type of thing, do you think that he could of sold the name to future investors when he was not around to run the business any longer? By doing the right thing he was able to sell just the name to a lot of people around he world and expand pretty far. I think they should just find a way to comply with the local law and be done with the situation. If they comply do you think the inspector will retaliate in any way? They also need to take responsibility. That consist of acknowledging our complete sole responsibility of our actions. No more seeing others or outside events in the cause of our problems. Blame no one, accept the behavior of others and the circumstances of our lives as givens and more on from there. With that being said the business just needs to accept the fact that they are not complying with local local and move the trash to a different location to avoid any future dealing with this department. If they give in and accept I think these inspectors…

The Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007 allow companies and organisations to be guilty of these offences where serious managerial failures result in gross breach of a duty of care. This Act created a new offence of corporate manslaughter to apply to companies, government departments, police forces etc. However, before this Act was introduced, a corporation could only be convicted of manslaughter if a single employee of the company committed all the fundamentals of the offence and was considered ‘senior’ enough to be seen as exemplifying the "mind" or ‘brain’ of the corporation. Due to these limitations, convictions were rare and it was felt that corporations had escaped punishment.…

This court deals with mainly criminal cases but rarely civil cases. All criminal cases start off in the Magistrates’ Court and are heard by either lay magistrates or district judges. District judges are legally trained but lay magistrates are not, they do however have to be assisted by a legally trained clerk. Magistrate Courts will only hear cases that have happened in their area and can only administer punishment of up to £5,000 or 6 months imprisonment. If the crime requires more than what the magistrate can administer than the case will be passed on to the Crown Court. Jury can also move up the case to the Crown Court if the defendant asks for trial.…

Communication in the work setting can lead to a number of things including a sense of anxiety or avoid being isolation. When you are working in a team and especially if it is in a company, you need to be a good team player and to get along with all members of clients no matter whether you like or not, If you don’t communicate well they limit their ability to connect on any meaningful level and that can lead to conflict or any other trouble that can caused you to be excluded from the work field, so it is extremely important for a person to have better relationships with the colleague that you are working with, many times I have seen people fail to get along with the staffs or a supervisors and that caused them into huge a trouble or even lead to an exclusion from the post. Positive communication skills like listening, open-ended questions, calm tone of voice and “I” statements help unite people because they are behaviours that lead to sustained relationships. Workplace relationships also become a lot stronger when people can clearly and effectively communicate what they need and allow others to do the same.…
