Jesus said in Luke 19:10 that He came to seek and save the lost. And just like in new testament time, there’s plenty of lost in our midst today that needs Jesus in their lives. You and I, as a youth of this generation needs to make a stand and obey Jesus on His mandate that in His name forgiveness and repentance of sins must be preach Luke 24:47.
Jesus was twelve years old when he went up to the Jerusalem together with Mary and Joseph, to fulfill temple duties and attend public worship. Not only He came to Jerusalem but He intentionally stayed behind there for three more days, without the knowledge of His parents. And when he was asked why He stayed behind, he answered ; And he said unto them, Why did you seek me? Did you not know that I must be about my Father's business? “ Luke 2:49 NKJV. How about you? Do you still remember what are your hobbies, favorite past time, sports or any activities when you were twelve years old? Is God our Father’s thing your thing? Is He’s business your business? We need to make a decision of what really is important in our lives and get our priorities right.
Jesus sets us a very good example. At He’s young age of twelve, He is knowledgeable and serious enough about His Father’s business. And the key is HE STAYED at the temple. The feast of the Passover is a seven day of worship celebration. But Jesus stayed for three more days. This tells us that like Jesus we need to go the extra mile. How about starting today we add 30 mins more on our praying time? 30 mins more of our devotion. 30 mins more of our quite time to listen and just enjoy our God. How about 1 hour or 3hours? Or making a resolve to win 3peolple for Jesus every month? Is it too much a task? Jesus stayed for three more days at Jerusalem, and He stayed there not to play, nor to just observe and be entertained. The bible tells us that when Mary and Joseph find Him, He is in the temple courts sitting among the teachers, listening
