The Trojan asteroids are astroids that share Jupiter's orbit. They reside where Jupiter and the Sun's gravitational force are equivalent. They are approximately 60 degrees ahead and behind of Jupiter. They are also known as the Trojans and Jupiter trojans. There are two theories that explain the origination of these asteroids. The first theory assumes that they were supposed to be part of the formation of Jupiter, however; while the planet was forming its gravitational force pushed the particles away in the last stage of development, leaving them to free float in Jupiter's orbit instead of attached soundly to the planet.
