LATE SHRI TRIBHUVANDAS PATEL
ShriTribhuvan Das was born on 22nd October, 1903 in the village of Karamsad, Kheda District. ShriTribhuvandas K. Patel participated in the movement to gain independence from the 1920’s onward. In 1946 at the instance of SardarVallabhbhai Patel, ha and his fellow worker founded the “Kheda District Milk Producer’s Union”, which as “AMUL”was later to become the international model for co-operative dairy. In addition to his being the chairman of Amul for 25 years, his career for public service was included Membership position in Public and Co-operative Organizational Marketing, Banking Rural, University Education and Medicine on his retirement as chairman of Amul. He also was awarded the “Ramon Magsaysay Award” in 1963 for Community Leadership and the “Padma Bhushan” from the Government of India in 1964. Tribhuvandas was presented with a sum of Rs. 6,50,000/- by milk producers of Kheda village and for the care of the mothers and infants in the villages. Tribhuvandas Patel handed over this amount and the sum he had received as part of the Ramon Magsaysay Award in 1963 to Dr.Kurien the brain behind the White revolution and requested him to use it for improving the health of the milk producers, particularly his ardently expressed wish that was the genesis of “TRIBHUVANDAS FOUNDATION”. Thus, the foundation came into existence and became functional in 1980 with initiation activities in village Hadgud. Today the foundation has established various activities in Kheda District. ESTABLISHMENT OF TRIBHUVANDAS FOUNDATION:-
Tribhuvandas Foundation was established on 1st April 1980. Late ShriTribhuvandasKishibhai Patel who was first chairman of ‘AMUL’ started this foundation. Tribhuvandas Foundation was registered under the “Public Trust Act” 1950. Thus, the foundation came into existence and became functional in 1980 with initiation activities in village Hadgud. Today the foundation has established various activities in Kheda district the list is as follows:- Coverage Area: -Kheda and Anand District
Sub-centre's: - Ahead, Kapadvanj, Balasinor, Kheda, Tarapur and Thasara.

OBJECTIVE OF TRIBHUVANDAS FOUNDATION:-_________________
To improve the health stunts of women and children.
To uplift the standard of living of the villagers.
To improve economic condition of Woman through income-generating activities.
To provide them with better environment and sanitation facilities.
To provide day care for the children under 6 years of age of working parents.
To provide information and service regarding family planning.
To trained people working in the different areas.
VARIOUS DEPARTMENT OF TRIBHUVANDAS FOUNDATIONS:-
NUTRITION REHABILITATION CENTRES (NRC):
Tribhuvandas foundation is working for children under the age of 5 years. Especially malnourished and pregnant women.

THE FREE SERVICE PROVIDED ARE AS UNDER:
Monthly checkups for women.
Provision of iron and folic acid medicine.
Tetanus treatment and vaccination (Rabies and Hepatitis).
Formal-nourished children they are given free treatment till they show improvement to 1-2 degree.
Besides primary treatment, severely ill children are also admitted in the centres (only cost of medicine is charged).
The execution of Anemia control programme is carried out by NRC with tire help of UNICEF (Gujarat).
