Introduction
Travel and Tourism is currently one of the world’s largest economic activities. It is the leading industry in many countries as well as the fastest growing economic sectors in terms of job creation worldwide. Most new jobs in developing economies are created in the tourism sector industries. The desire to improve the national environment of travel and tourism encourages governments to make infrastructure improvements such as better roads, electricity, telephone and public transport networks.
The purpose of travel includes recreation or tourism, research travel for the gathering of information, for holiday to visit people, volunteer travel for charity or, migration to begin life somewhere else, religious pilgrimages and mission trips, for business trade or commuting, and other reasons, such as to obtain health care or fleeing war. Travel may occur by human-powered transport such as walking or bicycling, or with vehicles, such as public transport, automobiles, trains and airplanes.
In UAE, the public transport services are maintained at par the traffic inflow-outflow in the city. The country has visitors not just from neighboring countries but people travel from far off countries in Europe, Asia and America for work purposes. Sometimes it’s said that the work related travelers in Dubai are more than the actual number of citizens in the city. The transportation system is maintained by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
RTA is responsible for planning and providing the requirements of transport, roads & traffic in the Emirate of Dubai, and between Dubai and other Emirates of the UAE, neighboring countries in order to provide an effective & an integrated transport system capable of achieving Dubai's vision & serving the vital interests of the Emirate.
Transportation in UAE is one of the indispensable elements of the economic growth of the country. It provides for the ease of travelers who are unaware of the ways of Getting to UAE. Presently,
