Traumatic Brain Injury
Traumatic Brain Injury is an acute injury to the brain. There is little to no chance of recovery to the previous state. This is not a concussion. This injury can limit physical as well as mental capabilities.
The NFL, NCAA, High School, and youth leagues use the standard helmet, which ranges in brand and design, to serve one ultimate purpose to lessen, not entirely prevent the event of brain trauma and the proceeding effects.
When athletes suffer a head injury after recently receiving a concussion without adequate time to recover. This does include repeated concussions, sub concussive impacts, and symptomatic concussions. The brain swells immensely and can hemorrhage, needing immediate medical
