Traffic Violations
Three Types of Traffic Violations You Should Consult with an Attorney About

Many traffic tickets are simply a matter of paying the fine. In some situations, you may be able to pay the ticket by mail or online. However, there are many tickets that can be serious, whether they require you to appear in court or not. The following are three situations when you need to speak to an attorney.

Speeding tickets for high speeds
In some situations, you can be driving at such high speeds that it will not be considered an infraction like a typical speeding ticket. It may be considered a misdemeanor or a felony. Although, the latter charge will likely lead to an arrest. But in either situation, a attorney may be able to cogitate the charge down. It may be possible to negotiate a misdemeanor offense down to a simple traffic infraction. In the case of a felony, it may possible to reduce the charge to a misdemeanor, but you are likely to be required to attend some sort of driving school. However, this is a mistake. There can be penalties you are not aware of that can have consequences to your life. There is often a range of punishment options available to a judge, and your punishment will be dependent upon the circumstances of your DUI. Without an attorney to represent you, it is possible that you could have your license suspended, and this can effect your ability to earn a living. In general, not having a lawyer can make a DUI offense worse for you than it needs to

I will never ever speed again. Speeding cost way too much time and aggravation to continue speeding. This ticket has made me realize that all speeding does is put me and other people in danger and waste a lot of gas. And in these economic times wasting gas isn’t the best idea. I am unemployed and I’ve been trying to get a job to pay for this ticket so my parents wouldn’t have to. This is good because now I know that speeding is just wrong. I can drive 45 in a 45 and some one could be doing 60 and catch a red light and I’ll be there right next to him, sure he got there faster but I didn’t waste five dollars in gas just to catch a red light. Statistics show that if the speed limit is 65 and you go 75 it will get you to your destination 10 minutes faster but you also increase your risk of accident by 25%. Honestly I don’t want to risk an accident over 10 minutes of time. It’s pointless.…

With my observance I have seen many California citizens speed through red lights, make inappropriate lane changes, run through stop signs, make unauthorized lane changes and commit many other traffic violations all while in the presence of active emergency response team's (ERT's). I have not heard of any specific laws set to regulate drivers who violate California traffic laws while in the presence of a responding ERT vehicle. Two months after I get my driver’s license, I get my very first speeding ticket. What a great way to start out driving, right? Well my parents didn’t think so. So, I’m driving home from school on this I guess you could call it a “hilly” road where the bumps are fun to ride over when speeding. It was all fun and games until I spot the cop parked at the end of the street just watching me. There was no use in slowing down. I knew he’d already clocked me at 50 in a 25. There wasn’t anyone on the road besides me, but in the passenger seat sat my best friend. I was also driving through a neighborhood. I put a lot of people in danger. I know the whole situation could have been retained if I had followed the law.…
