DATE OF SUBMISSION A perfect place for love, happiness and peace of mind, where you can relax for a while, get rid of stress, smash fatigue and soothe yourself. Hmm…where can we find a place like this in our world currently rocked by 3C’s: confusion, chaos and catastrophes? Once a vast land, indulged with agricultural entities. Catanduanes is very rich and abundant, in terms of natural resources and agricultural lands. It is a luxurious and beautiful paradise yet affordable to everyone. Here, a touch of modernization blends harmoniously with nature. Catanduanes itself is a beauty. The fragrant smell of scented flowers freshen the air. Huge trees purify the atmosphere. It is where the birds soar beyond the blue sky and the animals rule down below. Those towering green mountains, rivers, falls and streams reveals its beauty as it extends to the far corners of the vast ocean. At this majestic site, everyone can take notice of the jocundity that it offers. It is where our worries and insecurities are driven off. It is such a picturesque place where one can simply enjoy life and nature at its best. When you look at the map, Catanduanes is hardly seen, but when it comes to beauty, for me, it reigns supreme. It is a little island-province consisting of eleven neighboring municipalities, namely; Virac, San Andres, Bato, San Miguel, Viga, Payo, Bagamanoc, Baras, Caramoran, Gigmoto, and Pandan. It is known as “Islang Baragyuhon pero Magayunon”. It is also considered as an “Island paradise” and the “Land of the Howling Winds”. It promotes several splendid sites that are suited for those who love nature at its best. The residents of Catanduanes are called “Catandunganons”. Catandunganons are the hidden beauty of Catanduanes, for they can

The sequences unveil how cultural activities can be of use when it comes to change where the coastal people and the rural Aragonese exchange cultural ideas to make this once isolated village, a tourist’s attraction (From Bullfights to Bikinis 25). The presence of hotels, restaurants, and hostels give the interior city a new look and a new meaning and instead of community members migration to towns, they now come back to develop their hometown together with tourists. I didn’t think we’d ever get this raft finished, Charles thought. He sat on it cross-legged and stared down into the water of the pond. His friend, Pete, stood on the bank and watched him. It was calm and blue as the sky. “So,” Pete shouted, “Are you ever coming back” “No,” Charles called. “I’m staying here all night.” Pete laughed. he always laughed. “All night.” He had had his turn already, so it was mine now, Charles thought. He was in no hurry. They had worked on this raft for all summer and it was good to have it done, although it wasn’t really done, since it was kind of tipping to one side. Pete started throwing rocks near Charles. Charles knew he wasn’t trying to hit him but just to play around so he ignored him. Charles had learned…

In the exposition of the novel, we are familiarised with the setting of the island – which begins as a utopia for the boys, with “the shimmering water”. This has paradisiacal connotations, showing the island to be an obvious place of beauty, along with the “lagoon” and “young palm trees”, which again is an idyllic characteristic for a place of bliss.…

George Seurat's painting "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of la Grande Jatte" is a widely known painting in the era of impressionism with the technique known as pointilism. This painting is so unique because it is a painting that has taken so much time and careful thought to make. It was a long process for George Seurat to make this painting, two years. A painting make by moving your brush around is an easy painting, but George Seurat had to use dots to create his masterpiece. Over a period of two years he carefully places the dots of different colors. He could not mix colors so he had to place different colors next to each other to create optical mixing.…

The dog’s fur is a soft pillow that cushions a person while they sleep. The dog’s nose is moist and cold. The asphalt is nice and smooth. There are no cracks or bumps and it adds to the surrounds. The sunlight comes through the trees creating patterns on the ground. The sunlight’s heat is gentle and not too hot. The whole park is clean and family friendly. Cloning is a naturally occurring phenomenon, as well as a human induced process. A clone is a living organism deriving from another, with identical set of genes. A naturally occurring anthropological example of a clone would be twins, a set of individuals with identical DNA. A laboratory-induced clone would be stem cell production and animal cloning. In the movie The Island by Michael Bay, the concept of cloning is used as a life insurance policy to elongate the life of a natural born individual. This medical use of cloning has been under the experimental stage for quite sometime now and under ethical question. There are three different ways of cloning, recombinant DNA technology or DNA cloning, reproductive cloning, and therapeutic cloning.…

Some places have significant importance and many people work to protect those places of deep natural or open space value. In part II, “Speaking of Place”, from the anthology Wildbranch, the authors focus on personal connections and responses to particular places. These writers emphasize on sense of place, making their chosen spot quite different from any other place around, and also making their surroundings worth caring about. Nature is rapidly weakening in front of our eyes, and these places, frequently defined as cultural landscapes, play a massive roll on our environment; therefore, and taking this into consideration, the conservation of nature, in general, requires resources or a reserve for the welfare of people today and making sure…

One favorite vacation spot is the Hawaiian Islands. The Hawaiian Islands offer a rich and varied environment with many marvelous and amazing features. One may see pristine beaches bordered by clear blue waters, snow capped mountains, volcanoes and their lava flows, tropical forests and beautiful waterfalls. It is the very essence of paradise punctuated with fresh fruit and umbrella garnished cocktails far removed from my everyday routine. Oahu, Hawaii and Maui are the islands most frequented by visitors and the three largest islands in the state.…

In the morning I awoke to find rain falling over the hills in great blown sheets. I breakfasted, settled the bill and spent a protracted period struggling into waterproofs in the front hallway. It’s a funny thing. I dress myself most days without incident, but give me a pair of waterproof trousers to put on and it’s as if I’ve never stood unaided. I spent twenty minutes crashing into walls and furniture, falling into pot plants and, in one particularly notable outburst, hopping on one leg for some 15 feet before wrapping my neck around a newel post.…
