In sports teamwork is everything, there’s the phrase ‘There is no I in TEAM”, which is very true. For example, about two years ago there was a college football game between Oklahoma State and Oklahoma, there was a play where the cornerback tipped the ball that was headed to the sidelines into play to allow his teammate to intercept the ball. The importance of that play simply showed a lot, it may have looked simple but the cornerback needed to know that his teammate would be there and be able to catch the ball giving them a huge turnover at a crucial point in the game. You can not win a game because of one player's good performance, the whole team has to contribute in their own way in order to get the win. For athletes striving for bigger and better things is the main goal, LeBron James for example, one of my favorite athletes, known as one of the best, goes by a motto, ‘Striving for Greatness” it allows him to aim for a higher goal.
