Great stories and poems have many literary elements that make them captivating. An element that many authors use is violence because it doesn’t exist for its own sake. It exists to show a relationship between two different people and help give the hero a chance to prove himself in battle. In the poem Beowulf, Violence is used in many scenes throughout the book.
