Theme Of Corruption In Animal Farm
The story of Animal Farm is not just one of simple animals living on a simple farm. Rather,it is one about the villainous pig, Napoleon, doing whatever he has to do, including killing his own to stay on top. In Animal Farm, George Orwell criticizes and reveals the depth of the corruption under the reign of Stalin during the Russian Revolution. The animals on the Farm are subject to constant manipulation and fear. For example, Napoleon forces the hens to give up their eggs, slaughters the pigs and sacrifices Boxer for liquor. Orwell illustrates the facade of the perfect Utopian society.

    George Orwell's Animal Farm is a satire written about the Stalin Era. The events and characters in Animal Farm parallel the early history of the Soviet Union.
