The Words Movie Review
The Words--a movie about a story within a story within another story--stars Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana, Jeremy Irons, and Dennis Quaid. Although it seems perplex, The Words is a thought provoking and heartbreaking drama movie that is destined to leave you wanting more.
Evolving around Rory, an aspiring writer living in New York City, The Words reveals how one remarkable story written during World War 2 is taken and plagiarized. Despite this unlawful act, the novel becomes an instant hit and causes overnight fame for Rory Jansen. While things seem bright for Jansen, an old man crosses his path, making him evaluate what he has done. As the two men sit on the bench in the park, the old man explains how the story came to be. Beautifully set in Paris during the 1940s, the story within a story follows a young, American soldier named Ben Barnes and his Parisian lover, Celia. Despite the typical love story, Ben and Celia face the worst hardship, leading them to depart; however, creating an epic novel that is unfortunately lost until in the hands of Rory Jansen. While these two stories are being unravelled, Clay Hammond is reading his new book, The Words, to his fans which reveals the story of Rory stealing the remarkable Parisian love story from the old man.

Fictitious, wannabe-writer Rory Jansen, played by Bradley Cooper, expresses an array of emotions that seem nothing but genuine. In particular, the scene when he comes home after conversing with the old man, he asks Dora, his wife, why she loves him. In this moment, you can really feel that he is hurting from the mistake that he so willingly allowed. Tears trickled from his red glassy eyes and nothing but regret and guilt are portrayed.
