The Shadow Of The Spectacle Analysis
The Shadow of the Spectacle exhibit shows the modern day society of China. They are photos taken by Ni Weihua. Weihua does an interesting illustration for his photos, by make them expressive. The photo look cool and it shows how a city of China is today. Looking at the photo made it feel like China is United States of America. China has been Americanize. It doesn’t show no traits of China history or culture. The exhibit has a simple feeling. There’s nothing that made me excited, but it interest me that Chinese are living like Americans. The whole exhibits is small, but it’s not hard to figure out what each photo represents. The lighting and painting made the setting feel simple. The photos are divided from each other, like about five feet

As a motion picture aficionado, can we reminisce an action sequence in the comic book genre that we can reckon as one of the highly regarded action scenes of all time?     Can what is lost ever be recovered? Wing Ming-Yi’s “The Man with the Compound Eyes” translated into English by Darryl Stark is an exploration into the tidal nature of grief. Set in a near future, the novel an earth where global warming has irreparably changed the world’s weather patterns and the strange and untouched Island of Wayo Wayo, where every second son is given to the sea to appease and give thanks to the Sea God. As a result of the worlds changed weather patterns, a trash vortex has formed in the middle of the ocean and crashes into the coast of Taiwan. Drawn together by the trash vortex, loss and grief, “The Man with the Compound Eyes” tells the stories of Alice, a woman preparing for her suicide after her son and husband vanish in the Taiwanese mountains, and Atile’i, a second son from the Wayo Wayo Islands whose destiny is that of a human sacrifice for the Sea God. At face value the story is just that, on the morning that the trash vortex slams into the coast of Taiwan Alice after years of wrestling with the idea that her son and husband are gone, plans to take her own life. Meanwhile on the Island of Wayo Wayo Atile’i is cast out into the sea, however Atile’i fights back against the sea and eventually swims towards the trash vortex, creating a makeshift home there.…

    To start with I already mentioned the car and the ease to touch and to get in yes they probably have cameras on it but it is still possible to get in. Also the short rope guard rail can easily be reached under by little kids or even adults especially how close the artifacts are to the edge of the platform. Some of the objects easily accessible are dangerous like sharp rusted metal which is not good in a normal circumstance would be good to have near children but right in arm’s length right under the rope is a bad idea. I would say they don’t have the budget to put in a case because some objects are in glass cases but it easily can be hung on the wall more out of the way. They have clothing that I saw little kids playing with one of the coats which looked to be a 1920’s mink coat. That should be more protected than just sitting in the museum where anyone could touch it. My next problem there is one problem all the display cases are full except one on the physically challenged women the case is bare and looks almost thrown together last minute but my other problem with the display they have a Michigan flag in it but it was just shoved in the display like it was balled up and thrown in and left where and how it landed. The other side of this display also had a problem yes it is still a simple fix but it is still a proble for a display in a dim room that the light bulbs had burned out…
