The Secret of Happiness
There was a wonderful fable about an orphan girl who had no family to love her. One day she felt so lonely and decided to walk through a meadow when she notices a butterfly struggling to free itself from the thorn bush. The young girl carefully released her and instead of flying away, the butterfly turned into a beautiful fairy. Because of her kindness the fairy would grant her a wish. The little girl replied that she want to be happy. Then, the fairy leaned toward her and whispered on her ears. As the little girl grew older, no one in the land is as happy as she is. Everyone asked about the secret of her happiness and she would only smile and answer that the secret of her happiness is that she listened to a good fairy when she was young. When she grew older and lying on her deathbed, all her neighbors were around her afraid that her wonderful secret of happiness would die with her. So the old woman said her secret, she told everyone if what was the fair told her when she was young. And she said that the fairy told her that everyone, no matter how secure they are, no matter how old or young, how rich or poor, had need her. The fairy told her such wonderful words that made her happy all the time. It made her realize her worth and that there are people who needs her. This is true, because none of us exist solely for ourselves. There are people who we needs and needed us, so we don’t have to feel sad and alone.
