The man's eyes snapped open and the man's breathing was rushed and very loud. Crack! One of the men wearing a green uniform smacked the man unconsious.Seconds later The car stopped to a halt and another man jumped out. The men grabbed and threw the man to the ground. The bruised being turned to see as one of the men shoot him in his elbow. The man grasped his elbow as the men dragged him across the ground. The man looked around. It was dark out and they were surrounded by trees. The rustling of leaves made the man look at the ground to see dust go up in the air and leaves scattered all around. The men stopped and yelled something in German. One of the soldiers pulled out a gun and slowly paced forward. A couple

Click! The red button went forward and the mantled lights slowly flickered on and circled round and round lighting all parts of the room inch by inch. The metal door slowly began to creek up. A couple of sparks shot out, but none came close to hitting the trapped man. The door finally busted upward and the man walked forward. There were three more corpses along the hall. The bodies all had apparent causes of death. One of them had a slit throat, next had died from blood loss account of the missing body parts, and finally the last person died from bullet penetration to the stomach and head. The man looked closely at the bodies and did the sign of the cross once before moving on down the hall. The man stopped at another door to read a rather sloppy message written from the blood of a human. "Bewar, beware of, the, the spin, spinning, lit, lite." Some of the words had been spelled wrong maybe because the victim had not much time left. Cshhhh! The man held down the metal clamp pressure seal and pulled the metal door open. Air shot out and the man felt something hit his feet. The man quickly shoo the dust away with his hands. The man looked down when the dust past. The man's pupil’s widened at the scene. The grey sun seemed to be making it’s way up over the broken backs of the hills. The silhouettes of the men suddenly became clear. Now a man of 20 his eyes only peeled for the shadow of a man, the point of a bayonet, the fright full image of gas consuming a comrade’s lungs. Me and the other men had not yet experienced a gas attack but the stories spread across the trenches…

Snow started to shower as if on a peaceful rainy night and I look for any opening, trying to escape this creature that was following me. I could make out a large building figure ahead and ran directly to it, exhorting my energy as I advanced through the shivers in my body and aching bloodstained legs. An old tainted church-like mansion appeared as the fog cleared and I forced my way up the frigid sleet hill and onto a rusty pavement beside the building. I leaned upon the 5-metre tall wooden door trying to hear any sound coming from inside the outsized building, trying to sense any civilisation as the sky slowly turned into a rich black shade. I knocked onto the polished door, trying to depict a reaction from the owner that might've lived in this secluded place. Lights started to rapidly appear above the door and forming a luminous loop around the entire mansion, whilst the door blew open with such force that I was knocked back onto my spine. I tried to scamper away on my knees as a spine-chilling sensation started to form from what was a supernatural…

He lunged at us trying to grab us,He pulled out a sharp, rusty, cleaver then threw it “WOOSH” and all three of us ducked and it just barely cut my hair, we all ducked different ways until we got to the door,I had a plan. So I ran out to the allyway where the dog was then the minute the man jumped at me again I ducked, falling the man tryed to swing his cleaver but the dog bit his clothing and all you could hear was “AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHGRGRGRG…”…

As I opened the door to the panic room, I realized something…I had opened the door to the panic room. A place that when entered should have been locked should've been sealed so that nothing less than a tank could get through the door. Something was definitely awry. I released the handle and my hand came away sticky. It was blood, who's I didn't know but the handle was coated in it. Now that the ash no longer clouded my vision I could see that the panic room was pristine as ever. The walls unlike their fellows outside in the hall, were crisp and colorless. All except for the maroon streak that crawled along the floor oozing from a sizzling wound in someone's leg.…

In Living the Sabbath, Norman Wirzba discusses the numerous ways in which the developing world has begun to lose touch with God, our individual selves, and the importance of rest. Today’s world has no place for rest or reflection. The fast-paced society we live in is entirely focused on unrelenting economic gain and efficiency and has crafted a society in which people work abysmally long hours for little wages. Although this economic lifestyle has crafted a country of immense luxury, the people have been barred from enjoying the great gifts our society has to offer. There is no rest in this culture.…

The train ride to the camps was long and quite eventful, it took weeks. The very first day, a young man discovered an unlocked roof hatch. He decided he was going to jump off, an idea most people met with disapproval. For him, it must have been like making an offensive joke amongst a crowd of strangers. He climbed up anyways, and we could see through a crack in the sliding door him jumping off. We heard shots fired, and saw him dive into a creek, holding…

I let my feet feel the carpeted stairs inch by inch. A found missing flyer was framed on the wall as I paced up and down the hallway my head was out of my mind or was it my mind was out of my head? Screaming. Screaming. Screaming. It never stopped! Where was it! I banged on the wall over, and over, and over, and over again. I ran to the closet door and opened it. There it was; the screaming. There she was; the girl. I couldn't see her, but I could feel the chill. A victim. I closed the door. My eyes crossed and rolled back. A shot of adrenaline shoots up me. The screams poor out of my mouth. I can't control it. I try to close my mouth, but I can't. I start walking down the stairs at a fast pace. Foaming at the mouth I try to get myself together but I can't. Why. Before I know it I'm picking up my gun and walking at an even faster pace out the door, but how. Something's pulling me, but nothing's there. I'm walking faster, and faster, and faster. Past the river, past the boat, into the water, to the shore, through more woods. Walking, and walking, and walking, and walking. I stop. My upper body seems to collapse, but my legs keep me stable. I look around as if I'm checking to make sure no ones there. I take the gun to my head I start to weep and call for help... But I'm already…

The words finally come to mind, telling the man in blue that the shooter ran toward the alley on your right. The police tend to the lifeless body, that has ended up in your now bloody arms.
