The Pros And Cons Of Atomic Bombing

Bombings are brutal, deadly, and very sad. It's very destructive and a waste of precious life. They could destroy families, towns, lives. Bombings now days can be from things like terrorist attacks, wars, or battles. A battle is brutal with lots of death and destruction but at times it’s necessary to accomplish the goal of ending a war. The USA will do whatever they can to protect their people like inventing the atomic bomb which they used to end World War 2. To drop the atomic bombs to stop the war they used the planes “Enola Gay” and “Bockscar”.(atomcentral) The first bomb was “Little Boy” was carried by Enola Gay while “Fat Man” was carried by Bockscar.(atomcentral) Little Boy was the first of the bombs and was dropped on Hiroshima then Fat Man on Nagasaki.(atomcentral) The pilots of the planes were Paul Tibbets and Charles W. Sweeney.(atomcheritage) Charles W. Sweeney had a co-pilot, Charles Donald Albury.(atomcheritage) Little Boy is a uranium 235 comb and Fatman is a plutonium 239 bomb. (atomcheritage) About 80,000 people died by little boy in Hiroshima. For Fat man around 60,000 deaths due to it falling in a canyon. (atomcheritage)
In the first bombing that hit Hiroshima it destroyed 70,000 to 76,000 buildings.(atomcheritage) Nagasaki had ⅓ of its building destroyed, burned, or damaged.(atomcheritage) Before the bombing of Nagasaki the city had around 190,000 people living there.(History) Then around 30 years later the city grew to around 500,000 people living there.(History) The population still stays around this amount to this day.(History) Although the population may be decreasing.(History) For Hiroshima the population was around 140,000 people before the bombing.(History) Unlike Nagasaki the population keeps growing and is now around 1 million
