The Muscular System
Ligaments are in every joint in the body. That means that wherever two bones connect, ligaments are to connect them. The function of the tendons is to connect muscle tissues to the bone. The same way ligaments connect bone to bone. The main function of the muscular system is movement. Muscles are the only tissue in the body that has the ability to contract and therefore the other part of the body. Slow twitch muscles are good for endurance activities like long distance running and cycling. There main purpose is to be able to work for a long time without getting tired. Fast twitch muscles are good for rapid movement jumping to catch a ball or sprinting in football. They contract quickly but gets tired fast as they consume lots of energy. Muscle
