The Most Wonderful Place To Visit Yosemite

Yosemite is a wonderful place to visit. If you have leisure time on your hands you should visit Yosemite. When I traveled there it took about 6-7 hours because I live in Orange County and Yosemite is located in east-central California. When I was there I saw the beautiful granite mountains called Half Dome, and El Capitan. Half Dome looks like a rock with giant piece chipped out of it. El Capitan looks to me like a huge arrowhead. My family and I walked on a bridge made of rock and took in the amazing sights. I also stared at the numerous waterfalls that gushed out of the sides of mountains. My brother, friends (who also came to Yosemite with me), and I hiked up many trails that led to creeks, edges of water falls, forests, and the bottoms of mountains.
We went all the way around the road, and the cabin then snuck up on my brother (the stationary person in the cabin). Since Yosemite is in the mountains there’s high air pressure which means you get a lot faster. That happened to me. When I was running for maybe fifteen minutes I started to get really tired. Before we left for Yosemite we searched for things about Yosemite. We learned that it’s the Nation’s third oldest national park, and that it’s almost 1,200 square miles! We also saw that an Ahwahnee Indian tribe lived there for about a century. The Douglas-fir Tussock Moth is a big problem in Yosemite. When they are immature they climb up trees and eat the leaves and or plants on the ground. In recent years there has been a moth outbreak and many moths go to Yosemite causing them to eat trees, and plants (which is their food).
