The Most Powerful Group In Carrying Someone Upstairs
Purpose:
To determine the most powerful group in carrying someone upstairs.

Background Information:
A force is a push or pull on an object with the effect of the object’s interaction with another object. Forces only exist as a consequence of an interaction. To find the force of an object use the formula: F = m • a. Where F, stands for force, m stands for mass and a for acceleration.
Displacement is how far away the endpoint is from the starting point in a straight line.
Work is the means of transferring energy in /out an object. To find the force of an object use the formula: W = F • Δd. Where W, stands for work, F stands for force and Δd for distance. Work is measured in joules.
Power is the rate at which work is done. To calculate the power use this formula:
P = W/Δt. P stands

However, the group with more power was the one that carried the lightest person in less time. Some possible measurement errors might have occurred. Such as when stopping the time. Also, we tried the best to remain at a constant speed, however in one trial we might have gone faster or slower. We can compare this lab to many situations in our life. For example, when your mom asks you to carry the groceries bags upstairs, you can carry the lightest ones and you will go up faster and do more

    The strong person is defined as one who is able to exert great bodily or muscular power. Another component of muscular fitness that is crucial is muscular endurance, which is the ability to perform a specific muscular action for a prolonged period of time. For example, performing 50 squats with a weight of 50 kilograms on the shoulders requires both attributes, 150 squats without weight requires more muscular endurance while the ability to perform a single squat with a weight of 200 kilograms depends on muscular strength. Different tests are used for assessment of these different components of musculoskeletal fitness. To determine the strongest person in the group, multiple factors needs to be taken into account, including age, height, gender,…

    Work is said to be an act of exerting force. Whatever it is that can make us tired is considered work. The similarity between the conventional meaning and the mathematical meaning of Work is movement. Mathematically, work is defined as W = Fd, where F is the magnitude of the force applied and d is the displacement of the object where force was applied on. Work can be positive or negative; this is due to the positive or negative nature of F and d. When work is positive, this implies that the F and d are of the same sign. This means that the mechanical energy is increased by work in the object. Work is negative when either the value of F or d is negative. This implies that the mechanical energy is lost.…
