We, human beings, are born with intellect and understanding. We are created with a brain that helps us think and imagine. We are so blessed that we have this kind of gift from above. So, the question is, if we are given with this intelligence, why do we need books?
A book is as important as our brain. Like our brain, it helps us understand things. But, our brain has limitations. We can only comprehend what our senses can actually, sense! It is like, “What you see is what you get”. The things we can feel, smell, hear, see, and taste is only what our brain can figure out. Things beyond that is a mystery. This is where books come in to the story. The books we read today are evidence of the great, magnificent minds of our ancestors. What they discover is what they wrote and what we read today. In short, reading books is like discovering things. Our ancestors wrote this information for us to help us understand more about our world we are living today. They want us to keep on moving forward toward better understand and not to be ignorant. Books are also a tool that liberates us away from ignorance. Books widen our imaginations. It wants us to go beyond what we learn every day. It also widens our perspective in life. It also helps us understand not only about our surrounding but also ourselves.
As you can see, books are truly important. Now that we are towards modernization, we need to read more to easily adapt to the sudden changes in our lives. I believe that books are like a manual that guides us to really use our brains to the fullest of its abilities and to discover more of what it can do. To really use our brain, we need to read more because the more you read, the more you know. The more you know, the smarter you grow. The smarter you grow, the stronger your voice, in choosing your mind or making your choice.
