The Monster Lord Of The Flies Analysis
“The Monster” shares a similar idea of the idea that evil is found within that the Lord of the Flies symbolizes in the Lord of the Flies. The first verse of the song says, “I’m friends with monster that’s under my bed, get along with the voices inside of my head”. This closely resembles what the Lord of the Flies said to Simon which was, “‘Fancy thinking the Beast was something you could hunt and kill!’...’I’m part of you? Close, close, close! I’m the reason why it’s no go? Why things are they way they are?’”(Golding 143). “The voices inside of my head” was Simon believing the rotting sow head was talking to him.
