The Immigration Process
With rising questions about the immigration process in The United States. We need to implement new ideas and processes that allow for a more effective system. That not only make sure our country stays safe, but also to give these immigrants a chance to succeed. Not only through employment opportunities, but also through education. By providing some of these people with a trade. It would allow them to provide for their families,contribute to society, and help improve our economy. A solution to these problems would be to convert an abandoned mall or warehouse into a complex that serves immigrants. People don’t realize it, but immigrants are a large part of our economy. “As consumers, immigrants pump over $2 trillion dollars into the economy annually”(Reason). This shows just how valuable they can be to add money to the flow of the economy. Imagine what would happen if we provided them with real means to acquire money. This is a big way that could happen. By providing them with a trade that earns money that is then pumped back into the economy through spending. Would exponentially increase the amount of money flowing because of immigrants, creating a flow that benefits the economy. For this reason the program should be implemented. Many of them came over here with little or no understanding of the English language. Also many of them come over with little or no basic education. They will need this education to be trained in welding. “The report analyzed barriers to education faced by the estimated 775,000 children under the age of 18 living in the U.S without legal status”(Persuad). This shows just how much one group of these immigrants is struggling to obtain an education. Without proper channels of education opportunities that the IWT provides.
