The Good Shepherd
* John 10:27-28 * “The Good Shepherd”
In every chapter John reveal Jesus true identity. First he give eight of miracles: turning water into wine, healing Nobleman’s son , healing the cripple at Bethesda, feeding 5,000 with 2 fish and five loaves of bread, walking on water, restoring sight to the blind man, raising Lazarus from the dead and after the resurrection given the disciple and overwhelming catch of fish.
Then he move on by describing Jesus title I Am; I Am the Bread of Life, I Am the Gate, I Am Light of the World, I Am the Good Shepherd and I Am the Resurrection and Life. When Jesus used this phrase he affirms his preexistence and external deity.
David wrote out of his own experience because he spent his early years caring for sheep.
Sheep are completely dependent on the shepherd for provision, guidance and protection. That’s the way we should be depending on Jesus for everything. Before we make a move or buy anything seek God first and wait on the answer. Jesus is the good shepherd and we’re his sheep; not dumb, frightened, passive animals, but obedient followers wise enough to follow one who will lead us in the right place and right way. Now we’re told that Jesus was at Jerusalem at the Feast of Dedication and if winter was, the feast was held in commemoration of the restoration of the temple and after its profarmation by Antiochus Epiphanies. Jesus walks in the temple on Solomon’s porch, and the Jews surround him and endeavor to catch him by a question. After answering the question he speaks the word of the text. John10:27-28

There are only two kinds of people mentioned in scripture. Jesus divides the whole world into two classes: Sheep and Goats.
Believers are always compared to something good and profitable, and unbelievers are always described by something that is bad.
