The first day of college
College is the first start of a whole new chapter of every person’s life. As I began college and walked through the doors for the first day I took a deep breath and could feel my future approaching. Beginning college doesn’t mean that you just begin school to be in school, it means you’re contemplating your future and beginning a task that would create your life. I felt a sense of worry because I was unaware of college life and what the teacher’s expectations were, if I would make it academically, and how well I would be socially in making new friends. Before I started college I was nervous about how it would be or what it would be like. I had no idea how the first day would go. My main worry was wondering how the teachers would be and what they would expect from their students. I tried to prepare for it in an orderly manner and face the task that I had to complete to graduate. The teachers were different than I had imagined, they treat you with respect but expect you to take responsibility for yourself and your actions. The teachers are helpful and will assist if you put the work and time in and ask for it, but if you can’t make it a priority to put your work first they won’t provide you with the adequate help. Most of my teachers have been really helpful in being there and assisting me when I needed it from when I started college to currently. The teachers are completely different from what I had thought; I thought they would be strict and not try to help you in any way. All of my teachers have always been so helpful in assisting me in the help I needed to pass each course. I have always worked well with my teachers in the environment and found each one to be helpful inside and outside the classroom.
