The Big Surprise
The big surprise.
Two years ago I was with my family visiting Chiapas, we were in Palenque and we rented a car so that it was easy for us to move around the entire city and visiting all the nearest towns around, the plan was to go in the car around the country. One of the first days we went to visit the entire archeologist zone and the pyramids. My brother and I went to the car like at 10 am to leave some souvenirs and a big statue of a cougar that my mother bought so we can walk more easily and faster.
When we arrived to the car my brother told me that he wanted to leave his iPod and his sunglasses inside the car as well as the souvenirs, at first I told him that it was fine but then I thought about it and I told him not to leave them to obviously and to try to hide them because I thought it was kind of dangerous that someone might see all the stuff inside the car and maybe they could steal it.
My brother didn’t listened to me and he left his iPod and sunglasses in the car as well, we returned with the rest of the family to the ruins and we stayed there for a long time, when we realized it was already really late it was like 2 pm so my father told us that it was time to go to the hotel and have some food and rest because we were living the next day really early in the morning. When we arrived to the car we had a big surprise, someone had broken the glass of the car and had stolen all the souvenirs, iPods, sunglasses and the most important the cougar statue my mom had bought to decorate my house. Because of that we had to change the car and all the process to change it was really long so all the schedule that we had for the trip was delayed one more day because of that. So since that trip I learned that you should definitely not leave anything inside the cars and if you do, you need to hide very carefully all so people can’t see them and try to steal it. Of course my parents were furious with my brother and I told him that if he had listened to me that

We went skiing for 6 hours straight and my whole family was tired. When we returned to the condo we ate lunch and the smell of hamburgers and frijoles was in the air. When we were about to leave I had to go to the restroom. “SPLASH!” it heard as my phone dropped in the toilet. I was thinking what will my parents reaction would be this time. My parents ended up madder at me this time but I promised if I got a new phone I would be more responsible.…

When I was younger I was playing with my sister and she ran up to me and asked me to push her on the swing so I did. After a few minutes I got tired and stopped and went in leaving her on the swing. When I came back out side she was tangled in the swing upside down I got in lots of trouble. I made that choice sort of unintentionally because I forgot she couldn’t get off the swing and I had to pee. I regret the decision now because every time I go to the park with my sister my parents remind me to take my 11 year old sister with me when I…

My mom was in tears, she was laughing so hard. Another incident that was memorable was a one about an international For example, one steaming hot day I was at the pool they had at Lake Rudolph. I was in the pool chilling out when a kid came up to me and asked me if I wanted to toss. When I heard him say that I he had an abnormal accent. Thirty minutes when on and we talked about what we did here so far. But then the question slipped out, “Where are you from”. He said he was from Mexico. Once he said that I was in awe. I thought it was very interesting that he was from another country. I had a great time learning about what’s different in Mexico and what’s the same. The last incident that was memorable was an incident about an outdoor activity. At Lake Rudolph, there is no TV’s. Lake Rudolph made me do things outside with my family. My family and cousins wanted to enjoy the summer night at Lake Rudolph. We created a bonfire and chilled out. We chilled out by making grilling hot dogs, hamburgers, and s’mores. The burning sensation on your face from the fire and the scent of the s’mores made the night great. We sat there for three hours talking about stories from the past and what problems the world has given us at that…

There once was a time that I went to cabo San Lucas Mexico with my family. The reason that this trip was so special too was because I got to spend a whole week with my grandparents, aunts and uncles and most importantly my parents. When we first got we went to are rooms and put are thing down then went right down to the pool. I can still remember the way the pool look and felt because I got cut on one of the tiles in the pool. One there reasons I liked the pool so much is you could just sit there and watch the sun set. Then the next day I went fishing on the beach that was so cool casting out a fishing line and sitting there waiting with family there beaches are so beautiful and nice like the ones you see in TV commercials. I haven’t even got to the best part they have a little cruise called sunset cruise. You rode on a pirate ship and watch people fight and watch the sun go down. I was a lot like the movie call peter pan. This little cruise was so special because in a hurry and I got locked out of my room I forgot to wear shoes so I was without shoes that whole night. There is one restraints that you have to go to when you are there I mean they have unreal food. They have huge tacos filled with anything you want with beans, rice and a side salad. I can taste it now. I also remember the time I went with my grandparents to the beach after the sun went down with one of my uncles. You have experienced nothing until that happened I mean the sand nice and cold between your toes swimming in the ocean you feel so free and wild. That is why cabo San Lucas Mexico is so special to me. I have a lot of good memories there with my…

It was a Saturday morning when we went to say goodbye to all our family at town. This was very hard for me. In my opinion love is the weakness of everyone and i am including myself, too. We had to travel from my town to a city called Huajuapan for about three hours. At Huajuapan we went to buy canned food to eat during the traveling from Oaxaca to Tijuana. We did not have enough money to buy plane tickets, so we bought bus tickets which were cheaper.…

I had travelled all across the country, and seen things by first grade that most of my high school classmates still haven’t seen. The cross-country drives allowed me to see everything from Yellowstone National Park, to the mountains of Boulder Colorado, to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio. Driving around the country in a packed Honda Odyssey minivan gave me the opportunity to see so many national treasures that many people will not see in their entire life, which I am incredibly thankful for.…

To be surprised is for the flow of life to reach you personally, to be a participant in the unpredictability of life, for better or for worse. To never be surprised is to live an incredibly sheltered life, or to be completely insensitive to the ebb and flow of live around you. I often like to be surprise even from the childhood. My surprises come just on holidays such as St. Nicholas or Santa Claus. I remember when my parents tried for years to make for us my holiday surprises, like putting at foot tree or in boots various gifts that always surprises me with joy. Lately, when I got married my husband was the one who started to make for me different surprises, surprised me with things material or spiritual.…
