    They are both are hard-headed and had to prove a point to each other. Laetitia knew that her mother didn’t want her to move away from the reserve. At first Laetitia, didn’t know if she wanted to go for sure but after the boy told their mom Laetitia said “Well, I’m going for sure, now.” She knew she had to go to prove to her mom she could make it in the world, outside of the reserve. The mother was making a point the entire story, with trying to cross the borders. Her mother made a known point that she was not Canadian nor America, she was Blackfoot.     The Blackfoot School District has gone through many leadership changes in the past 5 years. We have had three different super intendents, and 5 out of 6 elementary principals changed schools. I think that the district is doing better at curriculum planning now that leadership changes are settling down.
