There were many events leading up to the Berlin Wall crashing down that on November 9th 1989 yet no one ever expected to wake up on that day only to find out that the wall was open and a divided
Berlin, a divided Germany, was no more. Some say that the wall fell down gradually then all at once, and some Americans say that the wall fell down thanks to President Ronald Reagan’s speech by the Brandenburg Gate, West Berlin in 1987 where Reagan demands “Mr Gorbachev, tear down this wall”. This speech from Reagan was not the first time he addressed the Soviet questioning the building of the wall but in this particular speech/personal intervention Reagan whilst standing by the locked Brandenburg Gate talks in a manner as if he was speaking
