Descriptive Essay
The look of glee on people faces is the look that you might expect from a child on Christmas day. Why this look? They are on the most amazing place on earth truly it’s a gift from God Himself the “beach”. The beach is a quiet and peaceful place but at the same time it can be so noisy because the number of people that are on this beach is as if the new iphone 5 is being sold. You just have to allow yourself to become that carefree kid again and let go.
As I look out to sea I hear and see the waves crashing down so eager to get to the shore line and I think how can something so beautiful be so deadly at the same time? I am completely unaware of my surroundings as I am lost deep in thought. I hear nothing. Then I am taken aback by the sound of a child’s pure laughter a sound that you would only expect to hear from a child but wait! It’s not a sound of one child laughter it’s a sound of a whole family completely care free and undaunted by the problem they have, for now the biggest problem they have is who’s sand castle is the best. All they want to do is enjoy these memories in the making and have fun. If you are not careful you might let go of you worries and fear and become a child again.
On this sunny beach the hot sand is messed up from people walking on it, making sand castles, hand prints from little kids who are so eager to get themselves messy and my personal favorite foot prints in the sand from big and little kids all alike. I look at the sand as I am walking and I realize just how many sand dollars, seashells and rocks are hidden in the sand just barely visual to a wandering eye. It is like they are playing a game of peek-a-boo with you, not wanting to be caught but also not wanting to be unaware of their

It was nearly sunset and I was relaxing along the soothing beach in Capitola, California. My brother and sister were assembling sand and shells to make a colossal sand city while my parents were in two chairs chatting. As I was ambling down the oceanfront my feet would feel the chilly waves and I could sense the gentle wind blowing my way. I was reminiscing about the exciting activities previously that day, including swimming through the waves, body surfing, and passing around a volleyball with my brother.…

Individuals depending on different individuals have had a varied success rate on aiming at promoting sustainability in the Terrigal Beach area on sustainability. They might not seem like they play a huge part in coastal management, however they actually play a humungous role in coastal management. First of all they can complain to the government about certain different things that could affect Terrigal Beach, possibly about pollution that could be affecting the local air quality or their water systems, dirty water that could be polluted being pumped into your water pipe system, or maybe even too many buildings leaving an urban overflow in the area. Depending on what time one woke up the following morning, when you walked outside you would get a whiff of the Sandbar’s burgers on the charcoal grill that would instantly capture your stomach’s attention. If that did not draw you near to the shack-like bar, the Beach Boys music that was blasting loud would. Since we normally go in the summer, I am used to watching the PGA Masters event on the Sandbar’s Sony 72” flat screen. Below the Sandbar’s deck are a flight of stairs. The bottom 3 steps are covered in sand that has a consistency similar to that of flour. As you step onto the sand for the first time of the day, you would find it hot from hours of exposure to the morning sun. The sand would be rather tossed at the step-in spot from where earlier beach patrons had previously stepped and are now walking around in front of you either…

When one thinks of summer, it immediately comes to mind the sight of sandy beaches, amusement parks and hot sunny days. Coney Island, an extravagant vacation playground to visit especially for the summer. I have recently had an opportunity to come to such a wonderful place that the sights are still engraved in my mind. There were other attractions that I have missed out on mainly since I had only one day there. If time was not an issue, I would have definitely visited more programs that they provide. Getting there is also not a problem due to their cheap and handy subway system. One thing to be cautioned about is that it can get extremely busy on the weekends, so the best time to be there would be on the weekdays, especially if you do not want…

As the children are playing water polo they are attempting to dodge the massive waves coming to the shore. The sound of the waves is so relaxing however, knowing there are young children near the powerful waves makes me nervous and on the lookout for one of them not returning above the waves. I understand the fun in dodging the waves because that was something I lived for as a child but it can be very dangerous. The touch of the soft, white sand on my feet is a feeling I will never forget. Personally, I think it is better than the feeling of soft carpet on your feet. The smell of the ocean's salt water is not one of my favorites but I adapt to it after sitting on the beach for so long. I just sit there and take in all the beautiful scene around…

The beach is a beautiful scene of peace and tranquility. Every moment is a different scene.
