For my visual analysis assignment I chose to go visit the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. It has been an extremely long time since I last visited a museum. I took my twelve year old son with me to explore what the museum had to offer. We found the art to be very interesting, educational and unique. First off, something which makes this trip a new and fun experience is the space theater. The space theater is basically like a normal movie theater, but what makes this theater unique from the others is it makes you feel like you're really there, sort of like virtual reality. Secondly, another item that makes this trip enjoyable is the shell finding, where you could uncover unique fossils and stones. I personally thought this was cool since I found many unseen fossils and gems in the game. Thirdly, the most memorable and brilliant place out of the whole museum is the car exhibit. The car exhibit consists of cars from the late '80s to the late '90s, which…

On Wednesday September 16th of 2015, I will be going to the Smithsonian National Zoo with a group of my friends. The Zoo was founded in 1889. It is one of the oldest zoos in the world. There are 1800 animals that live in the zoo. One of the most famous spots in the zoo for tourists to see is the Giant Panda exhibit. The giant pandas recently just gave birth to baby pandas. I have only been to the Smithsonian National Zoo once. I went in eighth grade for a school wide field trip. I love seeing animals and going to the zoo. Back where I am from (Delaware) there are not any zoos or big public attractions for young kids and teenagers.…

Some people come from out of state to enjoy the theme park in spring and summer break. It is a fun place because there are many things to do even though it is less rides. I still love all the roller coasters and my favorite roller coaster is the Alpengist. Lines can be long, but never disappoints me at all. Amazing roller coasters their I like most of them. They have roller coasters for adults and young children. They also have wolves, goats and a dog it is kind of cool because they are very shy and curious. During the summer time, they have fireworks. This is the best feature in the park. Everyone also enjoys the Howl-O-Scream and Christmas Town. I've never been to the Christmas town, but I heard it is nice. In December, Christmas lights are placed on the rides as décor. I really enjoy seeing penguins and having fun visiting all the different…

Museums bring history and culture to life by allowing individuals to gain unique hands on experience that is different from learning from textbooks or television. One can never know the reality behind certain artifacts and art until they see it for themselves. The perception of viewing a multitude of replicas and pictures such as the Mona Lisa can be dramatically different from witnessing the painting up close. The interactive experience allows one to engage and immerse ourselves back into time to learn about the truth of different cultures and traditions. The intent of museums is not purely to enthrall historians and scholars, but to create an environment which is welcoming to all individuals. While historians argue that museums…
