Tech Prep organizers claim to have adopted training methods to bring about a realistic career success for students. For example, the one way to bring more real-world elements into classrooms is to focus on teachers training. Teachers in Indian River County's Tech Prep program spent a day last year "shadowing" professionals at area businesses. The business advisory council for Palm Beach County's Tech Prep program worked to provide teachers with three-week internships at local firms to train them according to needs and supplies.
The words of the council’s chairman, Bob Howell are: "We need to help teachers understand today's world of work”.
