If you own a white dog, we can all agree they are more difficult to maintain. All it takes is one walk for them to look like we tossed them in a puddle of dirt. Most of us know it as "Pink Eye," but it could cause tear stains on white dogs.
* Keratitis - This is similar to conjunctivitis, but it's created by inflammation of the cornea.

There are several other causes, but the symptoms are a little disheartening. While tear stains on white dogs are more noticeable, it's important to consider some of the other symptoms. After all, watery discharges, dried discharge on the ends of the eyelids, or even pain can be associated with this problem.

When a dog is losing his or her sight, a trip to the veterinarian is advised. In most cases, the vet will ask you about dieting habits. Often time's tear stains on white dogs is a form of poor nutrition. If the food they are eating is not doing the job, consider adding a natural vitamin supplement to their diet.
