Summary: Should Government Fund Technology
Do you ever watch movies were people invent something and it changes the world? What if the government made these inventions a reality? I think the government should fund technology that will help the military and change the world.
The first question is, what would the government fund? The government could fund technology.“We need to start looking at how to get quantities and lower risks.” Frank Kendall. some things for technology could be satellites. They could help the military find possible enemy locations and their own. Another thing the government could make more technology for is drones, and not the hobby, RC drones. The drones that can survey the land and have weapons. The government could also make better weapons. The government could make better fighting vehicles. They could make planes faster and stealthier. For tanks, boats, and planes there is BAE Systems’, electronic camouflage system, Adaptiv. It camouflages whatever it is on. The military could also use better guns. They should have better scopes, vision and have higher fire power to kill instantly. They could also fund inventions. One of the inventions could be suits for the army to wear. it should have

It could help with protection. Protection for military men would be armor. This armor could be a strong metal covering. Someone could suit of metal, something strong like titanium. Better protection for vehicles would be better armored with camouflage and stealth. Better advantages would be advanced weapons. Like guns that could kill in a shot. Another advantage would be better armor. It could be made of metal and big enough so a person can fit in would need to be strong metal. Another way technology would help the military is finding enemies in faster time. Radar could help find enemy location so it could be infiltrated. Drones could be useful to because they could fly far, they are not manned, and they have

While the development of new devices, helps the society, they also pay a major part in hindering the society. For example the development of cyber world was a great invention, but with this invention came cyber bullying. Similarly drones can be the next weapon used by criminals. With introduction of devices like drones criminals won’t be required to go out in the open to commit crimes. If the police can use drones to catch…

Military and national defense are public goods, meaning that it could suffer from free rider problem. Citizens of the United States of America will benefit from military, a component of national defense, even if they do not pay directly. However, the production of the service required an input in the form of budget, which is partitioned from the tax collected. In a certain sense, budget for each year can be considered scarce, thus reducing funding for EPA allows for increase budget for military. The benefit for the nation as a whole is the improvement of military power, thus ability for the nation to protect its citizens, interest and sovereignty. Compared to the initial status however, it is perhaps unneeded. US military spending is already ranked as the first in the world, thus the marginal benefit of allocating more funding to such area will result in vastly diminished return. Therefore, the benefit payout, while might be evident in shorter term, might be rather small.…

I know that utilizing current military technology will be what will save the United States. People often talk about an upcoming WWIII. This is something that we should consider. Instead of trying to negotiate peace, we should be preparing for war. Many people across the United States believe we should no longer go to war, and instead research other things. However, the military is what keeps the United States the way it is. Without it, we would have all been dead a very long time ago, possibly part of another country, and no longer a world superpower. Instead, we would be a bug under the boot of progress. The U.S.S Hornet stands as a permanent memorial not only to military power and stability, but also to military presence in our lives and what it does to our country. Military technology got us to where we are today, and it will keep us moving further than where we are…

he military should be increased to help protect us in this fast evolving world. The world around us is always changing and other countries aren't going to wait up for us just because we are in a "budget crisis." The us being in a crisis only makes other countries want to advance even faster because they want to surplus and they know that its possible to do if we cut budgets to the military. Also we are in a budget crisis because of all the other dumb things that our government spends money on. For example relief in Haiti. Not needed, we spent millions of dollars in a country that doesn't even matter. Another reason is that Africa relief is pointless we give them food and clean water and what do they do, they go off into the jungle and fight…

In the documentary film Unmanned: America’s Drone Wars, Mark Mazzetti the National Security Correspondent stated the fact Our Military remotely uses our drones from one of their Military Air Force bases back home, it then scans out the entire environment our ground troops are being held at, once it has finished scanning the area it is transmitted to one of our military satellites and then transmitted back to base for observation and planning the best tactical route to take (qtd in. BraveNewFilms). Drones are issued with the best gadgets such as cameras, radar, infrared lighting known as heat signature and night vision systems (Szabolcsi). The use of drones today our military has made it were the targeting systems are much more accurate with there targets they seek out to destroy, and with our military doing so has greatly reduced the civilian casualties (Stern).…

Many improvements have been made to drones and with those improvements comes more requirements into making them so they are useful. A huge reason of drones being used today is because of all the warfare that has erupted in the past 100 years. Thanks to the Wright brothers, drones became a vital part to the military because of all the software and light way material they used. The military has a strong image with using drones because of how they use them for missiles and surveillance overseas.…

The majority of college students in the US today, do not know what it is like to live in a nation that is not at war, and this is no different for myself. One of my own memories in elementary school was the attack on the world trade center on 9/11. I am sure that I share that memory with many others. Throughout our lives, we have known our country to be one that is constantly fighting with another. As I grow older, I realize how surrounded we are by issues concerning our military presence in other countries. I also begin to feel the consequences of our actions as a country. Much of our politicians’ time and effort is put into figuring out how to “bring our troops home” or how to “support our troops” while still keeping taxes down. In the end it is the American public who are funding our war with our taxes as well as paying the consequences with things such as raised oil prices. For my research paper I am going to discuss American military economics; it’s effects on the American public, and our current presidential candidates’ stances on military spending.…

Another reason on how technology benefits America was when we used the radio during World War One. In World War One the radio had many uses for the war and was one of the key factors on the story of events which occurred during war. In war the Navy was able to use Morse Code to send troops to the Atlantic Ocean to prepare for battle. Furthermore, during the war radio played an important factor because with the use of the radio the Air Force was able to communicate with the President in order to change positions in the air when they were needed to. Radio also helped release information on the struggles solders had to endure during the war. While war was taking place a radio operator decided to record the events that he had witnessed or heard…

The United States ranks first in the world for our excessive military spending and is responsible for 43% of the global distribution of military expenditure. China comes in a not-so-close second holding responsibility for 7.3% of global distribution of military expenditure. Military spending in the U.S. increased throughout the War on Terror and the Afghanistan and Iraq invasions. In recent years, however, military spending has begun to slow down due to war reductions. With effects of the global financial crisis, our military budget will continue to be pressured to decrease in order to bring ourselves out of this great national debt.…

The issue is, we are forced to put such advancements on the back burner because we feel that money is "better" spent on meaningless studies or foreign affairs. Like the studies on if a lobster feels pain when boiled, it seems like a waste of money on an issue that seems trivial. Mainly because we know that due to the lobster's underdeveloped brain anything that we would register as pain is merely discomfort to a lobster. One other massive money drainer would be the fact that every time a war or foreign trouble pops up we stick our noses in it. As a result we needlessly spend money when it inadvertently ends up in the hands we don't want it to. As a result less funding is available for projects that could potentially do a massive service for people or revolutionize transportation. Above all we tend to see that foreign affairs mean we can spend money on country that may decide to backstab us down the…

The economical outcome of building a large military creates less funding for other American Institutions. The more money spent on manufacturing weapons, tanks, aircraft and other palpable material will be money not spent on education, healthcare, and social security. However, if America decided to keep funding institutions other than military and was unable to fund more military institutions, the Military-Industrial Complex will find the need to borrow money and/or weapons internationally which would raise the national debt. America would not be able to develop a more educated generation if it were to impose a Military-Industrial Complex. More consequences could involve lower standards of living for Americans or an imperialistic foreign policy.…
