Throughout the text I demonstrate emotive and exclusive language. This poem claims words like “our leaders” so it’s aimed precisely at our government. The emotive segment of the poem comes into play within the first few lines, I display the imagery of pain in relations to cancer, this pain I convey in the poem is then afflicted upon the reader. It’s important to use this technique first, because then pull the reader’s attention and emotions together and tell them it’s the governments fault doing, this makes the reader agree with my statement accompanied with fact. At the end I give the reader an opportunity to evaluate the prospect and possibly reconsider their perspective.
This is aimed to all the tax payers in Australia and everyone who supports the growth of the government, people need to be aware that our country does not give its citizens “a fair go” this country is consuming and wasting billions of dollars and we can can’t even disperse crumbs towards a cause that’s worth fighting
