In Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451, Montag’s society is somewhat similar to the current modern society, but not completely. The present society is similar to Montag’s in some ways, a couple of them being a lot of people in today's generation seem to be more into technology use than in the past, and a lot of people can not seem to find time to pick up a book to read anymore. However the current society is not completely like Montag’s, because firemen today are responsible for taking out and preventing fires, rather than starting them.…

"Active engagement with a police officer association will accomplish far more than hostile isolation. Responsibility for such engagement lies with management, not labor. A police manager, however, needs to clearly articulate the nature of such engagement and its limitations. Some police chiefs and sheriffs are comfortable with a representative of their police officer association attending any or all staff meetings. Some are not. Some are comfortable having an official representative of the association on all internal agency developmental task forces, some ask the union to participate only on selected task forces. Others would prefer to engage the union only in designated meetings that are particularly designed for labor-management communication. What is essential is some level of engagement, and that everyone understands the rules. Community policing initiatives require planning, restructuring, and reallocation of resources. There is no prescriptive formula for union participation in such efforts; however, it is relevant that community policing efforts are by definition a challenge to traditional policing…

GPS tracking could be implemented into each agency. In our society, overcrowding in the prison system is an enormous issue. Prisoners are being released into our communities and may even be involved in another crime. GPS tracking is essential to prisoners being released in our community. Such prisoners for instance, child molesters and drug traffickers would be monitored and track everywhere they go. If a child molester approaches a school within a certain radius than the GPS alarm would activate at the local police station and officers could pin point where to apprehend him/her for violating their parole. Drug traffickers could have a GPS monitoring system placed on themselves and on the vehicle. This GPS system would have to be activated nationwide due to suspects moving into another county or state.…
